Well I’m forcing you to. Gun to your head, Time? Or the Rani?
That’s quite the reaction to have because of a stupid spelling error joke…
You alright?
So what do you guys think of this S7 bluray release?
You thought it was an error? That was intentional the whole time.
Many months until I get it are my thoughts.
going through 2’s era. Last watched The Mind Robber. My favourite classic story so far, absolute 10/10. Although it did make me have weird dreams.
Just started The Curse of Fatal Death.
So, I got a sudden urge to watch The Sarah Jane Adventures! I think I’ll start that next week! I’ll line everything up nicely over the weekend and press play on Monday! It’s finally time to rectify my sin of not having watched it before!
It worked!
I hope you enjoy the show!
What worked? I don’t know what you’re talking about!
It has Elisabeth Sladen! Of course I’m going to enjoy it (I hope)…
What a coincidence! I also decided now was the perfect time to start watching The Sarah Jane Adventures. Just finished Revenge of the Slitheen, finding it a solid watch so far.
I’m taking credit for incepting the idea of watching SJA into your head /j
I really should get around to watching it again after all these years, though at this point I’ll need my own TARDIS to get enough hours in the day to watch everything
I hope you end up enjoying it though
I made a special thread for new watchers of SJA
Well that’s just perfect for me!
SJA was so good,i hope the new spinoff is good too
We do have this thread as well.
You can’t really share negative opinions, if you have them, in an ‘Appreciation’ topic though
Right. So at the first few Chibnall episodes I thought: Maybe I have seen so much negativity directed at this era that my brain is kind of overcompensating how much I actually like this and wants to be contrarian so it hallucinates that it’s good. But yesterday I saw Demons of the Punjab, and oh my god? How do Chibnall era haters live knowing that this masterpiece exists? One of the best episodes that I have ever seen in the modern era.
And then. Uh. I watched the dreaded Kerblam!. And. I really, really, really liked it… And I thought the way it thematically connected to The Witchfinders was absolutely genius? (I tried writing a long analysis of this immediately after watching but it didn’t translate to the page the way it was in my thoughts so I discarded the idea, but basically: Both show the blaming of modern developments for societal issues but from very different perspectives. One is when someone doesn’t understand the things so they fearmonger it, and the other is when someone understands the things very well, but generalizes the technology itself as the evil instead of the forces behind it, because like the Doctor says in the episode after, we all like to believe that things are easily separable into good and evil, such as that all technology must be evil as it leads to bad things) So basically someone please confirm to me that I’m not insane for almost rating Kerblam a 9/10, and I’m pretty sure that I actually just really like the style of this season and that it wasn’t a fluke.
Just finished the 4th PROBE movie, have now seen all the original ones!!
