The animation seems great from what I’ve seen, and netflix animation is always fun.
The only thing I’ve seen so far is right wing nutters saying Lara Croft looks like a man in it, which like, just say you can’t handle even slightly buff women and be done with it

Oh, the anti-wokeness in Tomb Raider fandom is horrible since 2013. I usually ignore it. But I have also seen some ‘Larry Croft’ comments…
At some point these people can’t be serious anymore…
I don’t even know what they want anymore. Sure I love the old games, but they act like there is some awesome story to go back to.
I think they liked her pyramid boobs and that’s it😂

Carried on with The Cleaner and Alma’s Not Normal. The Cleaner episode, The Baby, was a bit of an odd one actually. Three disparate characters not really gelling with a storyline. Alma’s Not Normal is utterly sublime though.

Kathryn Hahn is phenomenal, and the rest of the cast is also excellent. Story-wise, it’s just so well made!

Is it just me who thought that The Zygon Invasion/The Zygon Inversion basically did the same story but so very much better (and without a soulless big CGI face off at the climax - I’d take Capaldi’s speech any day).

Started watching the second series of Devil’s Hour which just came out. The first episode seems promising but I am a bit confused on how it ended. Jessica Raine as Lucy does a great job at continuing her characters energy like her character in the first series. Peter Capaldi is great as Gideon Shepherd again. Creepy yet enjoyable and does a good job making the character hate-able and somewhat entertaining.

3 episodes left of Andor and, sorry guys, but it has not proved a hit in our house. Neither my wife or I have been particularly engaged by it. I can see some interesting elements in there but I don’t care about any of the characters (least of all Andor himself) and I’m not invested in the story at all. Even the prison bit is leaving me cold and that was the bit I was told was the best part (although the escape attempt is the next episode).
And if you asked me to name any of the characters beyond Andor or Mon Motha (and that’s just because she’s a ‘returning’ character), I’d be coming up blank which is never a good sign.
We’ll finish it because there’s only three episodes left but whereas with shows we like we tend to watch one a night (or more if we’re really into it), this has ended up being once a week and almost a ‘let’s just get this finished’ watch.

Is anyone else watching Ludwig? Absolutely brilliant comedy mystery with David Mitchell. Brilliant ‘murders’ of the week but also a really intriguing mystery involving Mitchell’s twin brother running through the whole series. Three episodes in and can’t wait to find out what is going on. Excellent cast too for both the recurring characters and the guest cast each week.

Watched the prison escape episode of Andor and finally some proper excitement - really enjoyed that. And then it ended with two men talking about other people and things that have happened off screen and things that have happened on screen but I’ve got confused over which is which and it lost me again.
