Hello! Welcome to the Eighth Doctor Discussion Centre or the EDDC. Up ahead is the Book section, to your left you’ll see the Big Finish section and behind is TV. Finally, to your right is the comic section. Feel free to just generally chat about the Eighth Doctor in any media. I’ll start off with a discussion based on the boxsets What Lies Inside?/Connections.
What was your least favourite and favourite story from both boxsets?
Personally for me with What Lies Inside?, both Paradox of the Daleks and the Dalby Spook are 9/10 for me and I can’t really separate them and with Connections I think that Albie’s Angels is my favourite and The Love Vampires is my least favourite. If you haven’t listened to these boxsets then I highly reccomend them.
Part of it is a thread that I created that goes through Eight’s timeline in order as best I could. It was combined with a “Where to start” thread because there was a lot of back and forth in places between the two.
Since it’s the EDDC, let me introduce you to the sections we’ve got now:

The stories in these two boxsets are pretty much hit or miss to me.
Albie’s Angles and Here Lies Drax are my favourites. The former has such a great emotional impact and relisten value. It hits me just as hard. The latter is ridiculous and makes me laugh so hard, even on relistens. Next up is Paradox of the Daleks, only because it loses the intensity after the first time. Still fun, though.
I can’t really remember what happened in the other two stories. Even after the relisten. Curious about your thoughts on The Dalby Spook
I love the Dalby Spook but I know the general vibe of reviews is that it’s pretty bad. I think it’s a crazy romp through early-20th century England and it also includes my favourite talking space mongoose, Gef.
If I remember correctly, I enjoyed most of these. The Dalby Spook was my least favorite. I rated all of these 4 Stars except Dalby which I rated 3 Stars.
Oh I love that, so cute. Love that he included Frobisher and Evelyn on the Sixth Doctor one too.
I’ve heard good things about his Dead End stuff, been meaning to check it out sometime.
