I don’t think anything’s particularly required as such, but ‘The Apocalypse Element’ already covered in Audio Club does get Romana back to Gallifrey. To be honest, the prime requirement is knowing Leela and Romana’s backstory. Everything else is easy enough to pick up during season 1 (though, I confess, it’s been a while since I last listened to it - so I’ll be relistening imminently anyway - I may have overlooked something?).

I’d say Invasion of Time on TV for Leela, and then on audio Apocalypse Element for Romana’s return and then Neverland/Zagreus.

Though really, as long as you know the basic story beats of Leela being on Gallifrey and that Romana’s the president, you’ll probably be fine.

I knew there would be something I’d missed.
Oh, I love this series so. It does on audio what was never truly accomplished (and often fluffed) on screen. In my head, it truly is the Big Finish presentation of Gallifrey that I think of whenever Gallifrey is mentioned.

While I do think that doing something New Series would be a good use of the Audio Club Extra, I also love that the majority of us want to start Gallifrey as soon as possible. If we do start the next round with Gallifrey, I can’t wait to see new people experience it.

Honestly as long as you know who Leela and Romana are, that’s all you need need. There are an awful lot of stories that feed into it in some way or another, but as long as you’ve got Leela lives on Gallifrey after she leaves the Doctor in Invasion of Time and Romana is now back on Gallifrey and is the President, you’ll be fine.

True. I had a vague idea about who they were before I started, but Weapons of Choice was the first story where I met all of the main characters in Gallifrey series. So @JayPea you’ll be fine even if you just jump in with the Audio Club Extra
