In 3. Initially I was thinking “okay, some sort of red planet with 12 and Clara”, and 2 did nothing to dispel that, then we had a police officer that looked like modern day earth, which got me thinking about Orson Pink…

Got it on one. Twelve’s costume told me the season and then I narrowed down mentally through stories with an open very different from the episode. i wasn’t certain but couldn’t think of another that seemed to fit. Turns out, I was right!

It’s one of those stories where I’d rather the open was the actual story. i don’t hate the main episode, but that scene just looks so much more interesting to me!

In one - watched it recently and it sticks in my mind because I really, really dislike this story.

Got it in one! I could tell it was season 8, and I knew that it was one of those starting sequences that gave us the end of an unseen adventure, so it was then just a matter of working out which episode could have had one of those without wrecking the story that followed. I was pleased with my logic. I know, I sound smug.
