Is it Twelve’s treatment of Danny? I can understand if that’s the case. It’s not the only thing that challenges me about this one but it’s probably the biggest. It isn’t even that Twelve is brusque and dismissive (because he does that to so many people). It’s the unfortunate connotations that come with it in regards to Danny. Moreover, the man is clearly traumatised by his own experiences as a soldier (something Twelve should relate to) but is treated as if he was a typical gung ho macho type (which he simply isn’t).

100% this. It’s just utterly horrid and one of the reasons I dislike Twelve’s characterisation, especially in Series 8.
I’m also not a huge fan of Courtney or the weird love triangle thingy between the Doctor, Clara and Danny.
I always give stories a second chance and this one I rewatched recently and I came away disliking it more than I had the first time round - which is rare for me.

I get it. I don’t hate the story, but it strikes me as insensitive, tone deaf to important issues and even has challenging race overtones that sit very uncomfortably. I don’t think that was the intent, but it’s the effect. It jars, badly.

Got it in 2 and I’m fuming! I remembered it was either Time Heist or The Caretaker but couldn’t remember which started with them planet hopping, and got it wrong first time around.

Got it in one! It was pure luck though. I didn’t remember the scene, but I saw from Capaldi’s outfit and hair that it was Series 8 and then just picked an episode I couldn’t remember very well.

I was pretty much the same myself with this one. Although, it DOES take skill to know how to narrow options so a lucky guess stands a better than even chance!
