Doctor Who was at D23! I saw pictures and a clip from a video they showed. That’s so cool.
I’m in France at the moment with family, which is great, but it’s sooo hot here nearly 40 degrees I am just melting into a puddle at the moment oh and covered in mosquito bites

This little hedgehog has been released back into the wild by the way. He nearly didn’t make it through that first night/day, but he pulled through. He’s also blind in one eye, so he’s been through a lot. But we released him two days ago, he’s been eating a little of the food we put out for him, we saw him yesterday where we released him and I (presumably) say him today a bit further away, so he’s been exploring and will hopefully be on his own way soon.
Also I’ll be watching for shooting stars in a bit, there’s said to be a lot tonight, and there’s almost no clouds!

Did not make my day:
My wife was in Aruba for two weeks with her mother, sister and aunt to scatter some of her father’s ashes (and to give her mother and aunt one last trip there). Came back Saturday night (Sunday morning, really) and wasn’t feeling great. Turns out she has COVID. I’m in no danger, since she’s still up at her mother’s, avoiding getting me sick. But still, house is starting to feel a little empty.

So my friend is gonna visit my city on Fri. and we’d go biking if the weather permits. And he started talking about where to eat & if it rains we’d have to walk around so he’ll wear something like dry-ex etc. And he’s packed up for tomorrow’s train and everything.
Me: Mate it’s Wed. today you better wake up
Him: Shift. That’s what happens when you look up time after midnight
Me: No buddy it’s 10 in the evening now what are you sayin’

My Grandma has finally found a dentist, which is a relief. Every other dentist was either being rude about her problem or treating it as a joke, when losing teeth can be quite serious. This dentist seems to actually be treating it with the urgency it needs, given that she has lost most of her teeth.

My wife and I are driving two hours to a music festival to see her favourite artist Benjamin Ingrosso (and some other ones, Danny Saucedo, Michael Monroe and other Finnish and Swedish artists). We bought tickets in January and have been looking forward to this all year!
Benjamin begins performing at 11 p.m., and we are going to drive back home after he’s finished, in the middle of the night. That makes me slightly nervous because there are plenty of deer and moose on the highways this time of the year.

Feels like he has changed his style during the last couple of years and feels more like a rock star and less like a kid. Hope that it is a good concert.
Drive safe. Better to drive carefully and let it take longer time than to stress and not reach your destination.

Spent two wonderful days with friends before I get back to school and my part time job (teaching a two-year-old English, so basically play silly little games and read books)

Benjamin has grown a lot and is a very capable artist these days. I quite like his music, even if his music style isn’t my favourite.

I was at pride today, which is always a wonderful experience but it was also very hot, raining in parts, a lot of walking and I didn’t eat anything for a good part of the day so I’m now feeling very exhausted.

Okay, it’s 3.51 in the morning and I just wanted to let everyone know that we have arrived safely at home from the festival. No animal encounters, fortunately, but we had to drive large sections through thick fog!

I kinda started a thing on Twitter/X, I posted a picture of me with a Dalek and said “post a picture of you with a Dalek”.
24,000 views so far and hundreds of people have posted pictures which is fun! Was hoping to get some more people to see about this site, and we have had a marked increase in members signing up since then, but only a small bump because all the latest ones are so far up the chain you can’t see my original post.
But that was quite fun!
(I know, X is gross, I posted the exact same thing on Threads, BlueSky, and Mastodon but didn’t get nearly the same amount of responses)
