On the “made my day” front, I ran the weekly meeting with the client today, and felt I did it well. Kind of partly did it last week, but this was the first I basically held the reins.
On the “didn’t make my day front”, commuted to the client office today (for no actual reason), but I’m required to go each week, even though I see no one and no one sees me. I don’t care that much, except I’ll get home too late to even have dinner with my wife on our anniversary.
Also on the “didn’t” front, we are no longer eligible to compete on The Newlywed Game.

I think I’ve gotten my friend officially hooked on classic Doctor Who! I got him to watch the new season with Ncuti Gatwa and suggested he try NuWho to my absolute surprise he dove head first into classic Doctor Who Season 1, he’s currently half way through season 2 after about a week!

Just ordered CD versions of Torchwood Double. Mainly because I adore Anthony Howell and secondly because it’ll mean I have all Torchwood London audios. Once I get my own shelf (currently only have cabinets) I’ll put them in chronological order.

Weather was actually better then usual, being cooler and closer to raining, which was good.
There was a major Azure outage, causing me to get tons of calls at work which was bad.
Then there was a different major outage with a bunch of servers down at the end of my day.
So, sucky day, but better weather then we have been getting…

Been a tough few days recently.
Eldest’s Y10 results haven’t been the best but their school have also ■■■■■■ up with things (like losing half of my eldest’s history paper so it can’t be marked!). Eldest is crashing out in science and their autism makes revision - and taking advice - pretty difficult.
Term is dragging on and both my class and me need to move on - the heat today isn’t helping. I also have unhappy colleagues which always brings me down a bit.
A close friend is quite obviously being abused by his partner - emotionally and financially - and he lives too far away for us to do much about it except encourage him to find help from an agency or some professionals. Sad thing is, it’s been like this for about 5 years now and he keeps going back to her. He’s just turned 60 and believes it when she tells him that he won’t find anyone else. 
Gallifrey Base posters are pissing me off again - this time it’s a hyperbolic reaction to William Russell not being on the cover of DWM this month. I’m seriously thinking of requesting my account there gets closed - at least to give myself a temporary break. The only thread I really look at now is the one about Ian Levine’s online antics.
This place is much better for the soul!
