What I’m gathering so far is that I shouldn’t watch The Savages, The Smugglers, The Space Pirates, or Wheel in Space next…
Particularly if you’re suffering from insomnia at the moment…
I’ve voted for The Smugglers. I really enjoyed it on a recent rewatch.
Alright, will keep that in mind!
While I’m not necessarily going to follow what comes out on top (and half the reason I said that was because I thought Master Plan was likely to come out on top…), this is giving me a better idea of what to wait on and what to push earlier when watching these.
I’ve naturally got my own biases. (Such as that Twice Upon a Time would be easy to get out of the way, and Abominable Snowman I could at least watch an animated version of…)
Sorting things a little based on how people have voted so far…
The Daleks’ Master Plan - 300 minutes - 5 hours
Twice Upon a Time - 60 minutes - 1 hour
The Abominable Snowmen - 150 minutes - 2.5 hours
The Massacre - 100 minutes - 1.6 hours
The Wheel In Space - 150 minutes - 2.5 hours
The Smugglers - 100 minutes - 1.6 hours
The Space Pirates - 150 minutes - 2.5 hours
The Savages - 100 minutes - 1.6 hours
Well, The Savages is underrated. But the rest are slow and boring, so I can’t recommend them when there are better alternatives.
Okay I have an evening by myself again. Finished the 15 th Doctors rewatch yesterday and need some advice for tonight.
- Continue my rewatch of 1 with Dalek
- Start a rewatch of Two. You can never go wrong with Troughton
- Continue my rewatch of 7. Ace debute next
- Continue my rewatch of 11. That is just cosy
- Maybe watch something other than Doctor Who
Two options: rewatch Eleven (because he’s the best Doctor).
Or rewatch The End of Time and tell us all how amazing it is!
If you do that @Tian I’ll put up the “running commentary notes” I made for it when last my eyes were inflicted with that story
Now @Tian has to do that, because I genuinely want to read your notes
I errr just read those notes…
RTD might actually punch me on the nose if ever he saw those
Let’s not show them to @DontBlink then
Help me tardis guide
- Torchwood: Double
- The Lost Stories: Deathworld
- 4DAs: The Dreams of Avarice
- Star on The Lives of Captain Jack
I really really enjoyed Double (no, not JUST because of Louise Jameson (cannot confirm or deny she’s the reason I listened at all)). It was a very, very good story
I’ve never heard any of these so just picked one at random, hope it helps!!!
Although I’ve listened to R&J which was fun, because River
I’ve heard it’s good but I’ve got the whole first two sets to get through first.
Thanks for the suggestions they were great. Ended up watching the Barbie movie. Have been meaning to see that but never did.
