I mean it’s a cool trick that you can often let someone else decide/flip a coin or something and just see how you feel after because often you will be subconsciously hoping for one option. So if you don’t like what we’re saying, feel free to ignore us  (but also gallifrey is brilliant and I’m in love with that series and you should listen to it )

I’m not really qualified to answer either as… [ducks down and whispers] I’ve only listened to a few of the first Gallifrey stories as I wasn’t enraptured.
But my general advice would be to (usually) listen in release order gives you the necessary back stories because, increasingly, BF seem to interweave their different ranges.

It’s okay really, not everyone can be right about everything :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: I have more than enough love in my heart for Gallifrey to make up for all those non-converts

I would normally vote Torchwood, but there’s a club!

But you’re just a puny Castellan! You don’t have the power to ban anyone! Muhahahaha!

I voted for 8DA, but then I heard the voice of @sircarolyn judge me and tell me that I have to tell you to listen to Gallifrey!

Gallifrey! Gallifrey! Gallifrey! Gallifrey!
Politics! Thrills! Twists! Turns! Romana! Leela! Loads of loveable buggers!

I might regret this, and I’m obviously not bound to the decision, but given I’ve been trying to work through my unseen serials/episodes…

  • The Daleks’ Master Plan
  • The Massacre
  • The Savages
  • The Smugglers
  • The Abominable Snowman
  • The Wheel In Space
  • The Space Pirates
  • Twice Upon A Time

How come you haven’t seen Twice Upon a Time?

Just sort of slipped through the cracks when it aired, and enough time went by that it ended up on my backlog instead of actually watching it.

Hearing about Moffat’s bad writing for 1 didn’t help…

When you don’t know what to do. Watch more Patrick Troughton! The Abominable Snowmen gets my vote!

Yeah it does not feel like the First Doctor some of the time, but there are some great bits in it nevertheless :+1:

If ever I was to get a tattoo it would be a particular bit of the Twelfth Doctor’s final words from this episode.

And while I love the Twelfth Doctor and was sad to see him go, I don’t think I have ever been more excited for a Doctor than I was for Whittaker after the regeneration scene

Not bound?! Do you know where you are?

Someplace where people want me to watch a 12 episode serial with 9 of the episodes missing?

I say start with Twice Upon a Time. It’s shorter and will get you the all of revival Who badge, at least. Then you can start one of the others with it out of the way.

I listened to The Daleks Masterplan via these two, and really enjoyed it.

I could easily see that being better. What I actually have on hand to watch is the reconstructions, though, and while I’ve got a fair amount of Big Finish available I could listen to, I don’t have the audiobooks for Daleks’ Master Plan…
