I’m hitting the gym. Which should I carry on with?
Always Torchwood!
obviously gallifrey
Obviously!
I’m wondering what to watch.
I want to try something new, so perhaps a spin-off I haven’t started yet?
??
(complete sentence…)
K9?
I would if I could (don’t know if I should), but can’t find it anywhere.
Maybe that’s for the best…
At least the first episode is on YouTube. You have no excuse
I watched it all on Prime, but I’m in the US. This is the only thing you will get peer pressured about here, watching K9
I’m not starting something without having access to the rest of the series.
And changing your pfp to a meme of yourself of course…
Might give Torchwood a try…
Although Class is also an option…
Do Torchwood! ← totally not biassed at all.
If I were to start Torchwood, is there anything I need to know before I start?
It’s a very adult show, lots of gore and sex. We’re doing it with the TV Club now so I’m putting time stamps for gore warnings in those threads if you want to watch along. If that isn’t something that bothers you, feel free to binge (I watched all four series in four days the first time. I can’t really recommend it, but it was fun). Also, this show will definitely tear your heart out and step all over it eventually, so be prepared for that. Don’t let the sex gas alien episode deter you.
Do “K-9 and Company” (A Girl’s Best Friend) - the vastly superior (and infinitely shorter) Whoniverse show named after a slightly sassy mechanised canine
It takes place after Doctor Who Series 2 and was aired alongside it so at points it even crosses over (although the Doctor never comes to the Torchwood show because it’s an adult show and they didn’t want kids to watch it).
If you remember you saw the Torchwood team in The Stolen Earth / Journey’s End, watching Torchwood then going back to that will give you a much better understanding of them at that point in their lives.
I really miss the time when there were multiple spin-offs and then there was the episode with them all in.
It was the greatest time in my fandom, I wish they’d do it again
Already seen it, and very much enjoyed it.
In fact, I did publish my thoughts on the site…
(hint, hint)
