What is everyone's plans for watching the new episodes next week?

Yeah, and midnight in the UK is a pretty precise time to pick if you were prioritizing the US…

(Might also be worth mentioning that when you talk about the time in the US, you could be talking about Hawaii-Aleutian Time, Alaska Time, Pacific Time, Mountain Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time…)

They can’t pick a single time to make all people happy - though I too think they should have stuck with how they did it for the 60th.

I’ve never heard the term “Mountain Time” before - but it sounds like the coolest time zone around :+1:

Wonder if time moves differently at higher altitude?

Namewise, it certainly is!

Over on this chart:

It’s over in the green. I’m over in Pacific time, which is the orange, but I’m not that far from the green area. (And the pinkish one to the east, is, unsurprisingly, eastern time…)

they did screw up the timezone for the UK in the announcement, said it would be midnight GMT (Greenwich mean time) which was the timezone we were in when the announcement was made, but we are in BST (British summer time) now which would mean 1AM. It was very confusing

I’ll admit, I keep mentally thinking it’s at 7 pm, because everything keeps talking about 7 pm in the US, but that’s Eastern time, so it’s actually 4 pm for me (which really sucks, because I start work at 3 pm).

My wife loves Eurovision, so we will be watching how Sweden beats us once again  (no, I haven’t gotten over last year )

This would be the greatest watch party ever! And we can combine this with Delta brainwashing us all to love Delta and the Bannermen so that we find it to be the best story in all of Doctor Who!

I was about to comment this but didn’t dare :joy:

I’ve always found this such a cool name for a time zone! Why can’t we have cool time zone names in Europe?

Now you need to tell us what the yellow in Alaska and the darker orange going down to Mexico are called!

Takes more than that to piss off a Dane

Loreen deserved that second win :tada: Though “Tattoo” can’t touch “Euphoria”

Well, the darker orange one in the center is Central time, and the yellow is Alaskan time. Not particularly interesting names, I’m afraid.

Think I might have to check when it airs on BBC One as I’m on holiday in the UK for a few weeks. If I miss it I’ll probably stream it somewhere though, see what works. Haven’t had Disney+ in a while as it was getting too pricy for how little my family and I were using it

episode 1 starts 18:20!

ooooooooh that should be doable :stuck_out_tongue:

Can’t believe for a second the new air times are for the benefit of UK viewers, it’s absolutely to cater to the US audience. It’s telling that it’s starting now that we’re on the episodes Disney+ is actually interested in.

And after Eurovision we can stay up and play Lego Dimensions.

I had been wondering what the start time was. Thanks :+1:

@Tian and @MrColdStream you are both in the same Zone of Time as I am, the new episodes drop on D+ at 01:00 on 11th of May right? I’m getting hit by temporal hazing at this point

Well, I mean, who doesn’t like Delta and the Bannermen?

Oh! Just checked, and it’s released on iPlayer same time as Disney+. Last I heard it was Disney+, then broadcast, then iPlayer at midnight. That changes things. I may stay up and watch if not working or catch up on the Saturday morning.
