It is fun! That is something 12 do little of!
Well clearly you have excellent taste
While I like what we got, there is definitely a part of me that would have liked to see what we’d get if we’d continued with Liz Shaw and more that was in line with season 7.
In my furious quest to go through all the webcasts listed in the Guide, I watched almost all the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre videos listed, the one exception being “The Doctors”. Can’t seem to find one for that.
Seems a weird choice to include these on the sight, as I think there would be a ton of other material with just as much claim to belong. If you tried to include them all, you could wind up with, like, 10,000 stories.
Also watched Legend of the Sea Devils and now watching The Power of the Doctor. Fell asleep during it last night. The wife watched till the end, but didn’t know who all the people were at the end, so I’ll have to point them out when we get there. I already pointed to one and said “That one’s Dan”, but apparently she knows that one already.
We have been discussing what to and not to include on the site (fan content is left out, simply because there’s too much of it). Admittedly, the line between what is “official” enough to be included and what isn’t is blurred. I don’t remember what the reasoning behind including the Sock Puppet stuff was, and I haven’t watched them myself, but I guess they are officially licensed or something and, therefore, “proper” enough to be included on the site.
Wikipedia tells me they’ve appeared in the DVD extras of three releases. I’m guessing that’s how the crossed through the barrier.
Some of their stuff is quite funny. Not sure I should have binged them all in 2 days, though!
Well then, that explains it!
I probably won’t watch them unless there’s a badge involved
I don’t know yet, as I haven’t located that one instalment!
That is the one I have not seen as well. Can’t find it anywhere
I wish we had gotten more, but in The Silurians and Ambassadors she is relegated to saying “Yes Doctor”. Something with substance would have been nice.
That would definitely have been nice, and if we’d had more time with her, maybe we’d have gotten it…
It’s a shame that they didn’t have the budget to make Gallifrey seem special, rather than an 80s chat show set.
I was provided a spreadsheet by @ineffyble, and yes they are on the BluRays so are “official”. The plan is to add everything anyway!
I haven’t even seen them all…
Erm. . . . .
I love all three 60th specials. NPH is such a perfect villain to the Doctor.
I met another Andrew yesterday to be fair
Also my dad (who might remember from the quiz) is an Andrew
All the best people are .
Just to clear up the confusion, the person who told me about Doctor Who, lo those many years ago, is named Andrew. Though when I met him, Romana II was just starting as the companion. PBS would have been a bit behind, so maybe Leela was the companion being aired. So, I figure that must explain everything.
Incidentally, I was talking to the wife and reminded her we saw some preview clips of the Fury from the Deep animation at Gallifrey One in '20. She didn’t seem to remember…and we wound up watching all 6 episodes.
Almost as if you’re trying to tell us something, but can’t quite get the words out? Pting got your tongue?
