Reminds me of the Putty Patrollers from Power Rangers.
That certainly is… an image… the way it’s actually not a terrible photoshop job is very alarming
@handles got jealous of Kamelion though and tried to hide that picture
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @handles display help
.
Which robot is he jealous of though…
In this context, Handles feels very passive aggressive
Heartbreaking: Cool And Atmospheric Victorian Gothic Horror Story Hampered By Constant And In Your Face Racism
(Talons was so so frustrating!!!)
I finished the Monster of Peladon today. The last two episodes I enjoyed a lot more than the first four, so I enjoyed that a lot. After that I watched the first four episodes of the Planet of the Spiders. This one I enjoy a lot at the moment.
I’m with you. Extreme melodrama is not Doctor Who to me and never will be.
It’s why the Chibnall era is my favorite of the revival. The show finally consistently felt like Doctor Who again to me. Chibnall had his flaws but I will take them any day over RTD’s or Moffat’s flaws, which irritate me far more as they feel completely removed from why I like Doctor Who to begin with.
I like Monster a lot! Prefer it to Curse tbh
I’m with you there. One of the first stories I attempted to do a fan edit for, actually, as I wanted to see how much of the racism I could get rid of. Its files will forever lie somewhere misplaced on my hard drive, probably inside a dozen folders called ‘new folder with items’
Me too. I liked Dan. I loved his quiet little scene at the end of “Legend of the Sea Devils”. It’s not a story I’m fond of (I rate it as the single complete flop of Jodie’s era) but Dan’s quiet little scene is actually very real and rather moving. It also sets up his departure in “Power” rather nicely, I feel.
I agree to a point. My feeling is that companion departures should vary. Some should leave because some ordinary aspect of their life intercedes and pulls them away (be it love, loyalty or pure damn chance that prevents them from continuing), whilst others should get dramatic epic departures. That way, you never quite know and it doesn’t become predictable.
I’m good with occasional epic departures. What I have a problem with is when that’s practically every companion’s departure. Adric had a great companion departure, but it was great because it was unexpected and had punch to it. Modern Who, you basically expect it, and it’s out of the norm if a companion doesn’t get an epic departure.
Exactly! It needs to be an occasional shock rather than the norm. Then it can be very powerful!
Watched the first 3 parts of The Evil of the Daleks last night and I’m loving it! The first part was an intriguing mystery, the Daleks are delightful under Whitaker’s pen, and now I’m really loving how manipulative 2 is to Jamie. Feels very proto-7!
Will admit though I can feel the padding a little in part 3 and the cliffhanger makes me feel like part 4 is gonna be even worse for it.
Watched Pandorica opens, Big Bang and Christmas carol. 100% recency bias but i think Doctor Who has peaked. Just the most crazy, completely nuts, VERY Moffat concept after concept. If the next season manages to surpass this I’d be very impressed! How does this man come up with so much nonsense but makes it feel so sensical?
(I already know in like 2 days i’m gonna start seeing all the flaws and end up actually quite disliking it, BUT NOT NOW! NOW IT’S THE GREATEST TELEVISION EVER MADE)
