As I was reading this I was thinking there should be a Star Trek thread…

Maybe someone should start one  .

I watched Androzani again. I haven’t seen it since I first watched it years ago. I liked the first two parts more than I did previously, but, just like last time, once part three showed up the boredom set in. I don’t understand how this serial is consistently rated number one; I don’t see anything special about it other than the presence of Miss Brown.

It was worth re-watching for the refresher, but seeing the three Is was the highlight, yet again.

Apropos of nothing @CommanderBayban but Colin is looking particularly bouffant in your new profile pic!

Isn’t he just? :star_struck: That’s one of my favorite pictures of him in costume (granted, the “favorites list” is exceptionally long…).

The bigger the hair, the better in my opinion.

Where’s the image from?

It’s from a PSA Colin did to bring awareness to worldwide hunger.

The idea of one being bored by Androzani astounds me ngl. I don’t think it has a moment that isn’t tense and intriguing. But, everyone has their tastes.

The idea of someone saying this astounds me as well :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Doctor Who Season 5 and Star Trek Season 2 is some real competition though. One of them was doing varied stories, and the other was doing a version of base under siege for essentially every story except one. Not necessarily bad, but repetitive.

73 yards is even better now than I remember. I guess the ending could be a bit better but the atmosphere is amazing and Millie Gibsons preference is amazing.

My 15 Doctor rewatch ranking

  1. The Church on Ruby Road
  2. 73 Yards
  3. Boom
  4. Space Babies
  5. The Devil’s Chord

I’m on the last episode of The Claws of Axos. A fairly simple, but well done story.

Watched episode 3 of The Daleks earlier

Half-way through Colony in Space. I always remember thinking it was a meh story, but my tastes must have changed in 10 years, as I’m finding it alright.

It’s as subtle as a sledgehammer, but solid enough for the first off world Three story.

It’s one that’s grown on me too. Probably once I was old enough to really understand what it was getting at.

I’ve noticed similar attitude adjustments. When I was a kid, a story was great if I liked the monsters. Something like The Faceless Ones would be less appealing due to less appealing monsters. Enemy of the World was even less appealing, it didn’t even have aliens.

I’d have found Colony in Space dull in those days, but I certainly enjoy watching it now.
