What are talking about again??
Just started Doom Coalition - The Eleven for the first time
What’s the Seventh Doctor doing here, I thought it was an Eighth Doctor release
I’d forgotten about that
I have never heard “The Multitude” outside of this forum. “The Collective” really seems to be the default everywhere else
Finished The Church and the Crown on the drive to a friend’s house. Slowly working my way through God’s Secretaries about the making of the King James Bible. Will decide what to listen to on the drive home later.
Just decided to listen to music on the way home.
I’ve heard the first two stories of Doom Coalition 1.
“The Eleven” sets up a super interesting villain, knowing a bit about where we end up in Once and Future I am really interested to fill in the blank spaces in between
The Red Lady was a fantastic story, quite a strong companion introduction as well. I am really hyped for the rest of Doom Coalition
That Paul McGann fellow is ever so good isn’t he?
Just realised that I haven’t heard Robophobia in many years, maybe I should do a small detour and listen to that one to properly remember Liv coming on board…
I miss Nurse Molly “Dark Eyes” O’Sullivan
It’s what they’re called on TARDIS wiki withj ‘the Collective’ being an alternative moniker.
To be honest, I only found this out from here too - but I just thought they were called the Eleven.
Helen my beloved!!! !!! !!! Red Lady is a brilliant one and I adore Helen so much. Absent Frends, Ship in a Bottle, and Side of the Angels are my other top DC episodes. I hope you enjoy it!!
Not what I expected. That’s basically my reaction to The Masters of Luxor.
I have the script book, which I read many, many years ago. I seem to recall feeling it was on par with The Daleks as a story at the time. Did not feel that way listening to the audio.
Six episodes long, and so three full discs, and somehow very little happens. The first episode is a very nice exploration and discovery experience, a la The Space Museum, but after that… A simple plot that just goes on and on. Very disappointed, as I thought I was going to enjoy it a whole lot more.
As @deltaandthebannermen said, it’s “The Multitude” on the Wiki and I always go with what they say because they seem to know what they are talking about.
I’d be happy to change it if that’s what everyone wanted though.
No that’s only one of them. We need a collective noun
It’s a dumb name really because it changes each time, must be difficult for them to manage!
Pun intended?
Finished listening to “Robophobia”.
“Please do not throw hands at me”
Chris Boucher just created an amazing setting in “The Robots of Death”. I also listened to “Kaldor City” not that long ago, it is just a fantastic sandbox for sci-fi writers to explore.
The Seventh Doctor is just right for this particular story, and Liv Chenka gets an amazing introduction story here
Next up for me is “The Galileo Trap” from Doom Coalition 1. I am super excited to properly get to know that team of 8, Liv and Helen
I think they’re my current favourite Big Finish TARDIS team, and have been for a while.
High praise
They’re in Doom Coalition, Ravenous and Stranded right?
I loooove Robophobia it’s a great story. If you haven’t listened already, I highly recommend the BF series The Robots, that was brilliant
And beyond. With the Eighth Doctor range covering 3 different eras of his life now, releases with Liv and Helen are fewer and farther between than previously but they’re “still” travelling with him.
I am going to need an Eighth Doctor Big Finish Flowchart at some point
But good to know that there are plenty of stories to come
Sigh
I’ll add it to the list…
Does “The Robots” also have that patented “Kaldor banter?”
Liv is the main character so you can imagine the banter with her!
