I’ve heard 15 stories with Liv as of yet.
She does do excellent banter

Listened to Deadline.
Main takeaways:
Robert Shearman is excellent, especially with darker stories
Derek Jacobi plays hateable really well.
5/5, strong recommend from me
Also @shauny He Jests at Scars and Deadline seem to be the wrong way round on the site.
Oh no! Sounds like another Gallifrey series we have to check out
Please do! There’s only 8 or 9 stories in “Kaldor City”
But I meant more the “world of Kaldor”. All writers doing stories with those Robots seem to try to emulate the glorious banter Boucher had between that sandminer crew. And I love that!
I’ll put it on my neverending list of stories to listen to (we need a proper word for “watchlist” for audios! “Playlist” doesn’t feel right to me!).
I’ll get to it after I finish Gallifrey and Benny … maybe…
Just started “The Satanic Mill” - final story of Doom Coalition 1
I am liking Doom Coalition so far.
The Galileo Trap wasn’t a “great” story, but it was a very good first outing for Helen Sinclair after joining with the TARDI-BOX crew - it really showed her “the ropes” and gave her a choice once again whether this lifestyle is something for her.
I might be a bit biased here, but I love to have a linguist companion
I finally listened final story of Unbound “The Key To Key To Time” - very good story, reminds me story from Classic era with Key to Time.
But I thought there will be badge, but no. Well, it was nice to listen, especially old episodes, from new seasons I liked only “The Key To Key To Time” and " Who Am I?"
Fixed, thanks for letting me know
There will be at some point! And when there is, you will earn it
Okay, I am done with Doom Coalition 1
It’s a good box-set in some regards - presenting a super interesting villain in “The Eleven”, who I had heard some negative comments about because it apparently made light of mental illness and hearing voices, which to me seems really far from the truth of what is presented about their affliction. It is presented as being really nuanced, and not just as a “he’s bad because he’s mad” type of situation.
It presents a fantastic new companion in Helen Sinclair, who really effortlessly slots in with 8 and Liv. I have high hopes for this team
The weakest story is probably the final one (The Satanic Mill). There’s really big passages of expository dialogue, but I am hoping this will come into play in the next three box-sets. The ending also kind of fizzles out a bit - but again I am only 25% into the larger story.
The standout story is definitely “The Red Woman” - fantastic story And it introduced Helen
Glad you enjoyed it!
For me I love the TARDIS Team and the banter. Helen is great. And also one of my favourite characters pops up soon too. But the ‘main plot’ stories weren’t my favourite.
There are definitely some amazing standouts like The Red Lady.
Having just looked at the cover for next box-set, I can’t possibly begin to speculate about who you mean here Sweetie
I was trying to avoid Spoilers!
War Stories was fun, although the impressions leave much to be desired.
Speaking of covers, you just reminded me that one task I want to do is go and replace loads of cover images with higher quality ones.
A really annoying bug on the current Big Finish website is if you click the “enlarge” icon to view a bigger cover it just… shows the same low-resolution image
I didn’t know for ages that if you edit the URL and replace ‘large’ with ‘Large’ then it shows the actual high quality image. (Baffling).
So for the ~260 CDs where I uploaded the smaller ones, I have to go and replace them.
No problem, something I can do while chilling and listening to an audio.
I’ve just done all the Dark Eyes, Doom Coalition, Ravenous and a few more too.
Hopefully someone notices Our site has better quality cover images when zoomed in than the Wiki and even Big Finish!
I listened to The Best-Laid Plans.
I got a bit lost, to be honest.
Although, controversially, I have no issues with Duncan’s 12!
a. I didn’t know that either b. yayyy another classic case of the BF website making nooooo sense
Just listened to the new Short Trip War Stories.
Made a discussion thread for it a few weeks ago, if you would like to write/read about it.
I know, I remember. Maybe at some point.
Started Broken Hearts on the walk to school this morning.
