What are you currently listening to?

To be honest, you might have much less of an issue with the beginning than I do. The main issue for me comes with the way I read Ace as nonbinary/strongly gender-non-conforming and her name is a big part of that. And with me also being nonbinary and relating to her, it gives me almost second-hand dysphoria to hear that name and part of her life be denied as a phase.
But the story really does need a bit to pick up, so I definitely suggest people give this one a chance even if they don’t like the beginning

Finished The Yearn and now listening to Tia Kofi’s scifi podcast with Kate Butch - who is a proper Who fan. They’ve already referenced Susan’s line about Cybermen in The Five Doctors, Jackie and River being in every other Big Finish release and the Destroyed Cassandra action figure!

(Although points deducted for thinking Dark Season was on CITV!)

Listened to The Fearmonger today, though I hope to get an opportunity to relisten to it sometime soon as I think I was a little too distracted to properly appreciate it. I wanted to get through The Marian Conspiracy today too, but ended up not having he time.

I finished today with the novel adaptation of the Romance of Crime. I really enjoyed it and am interested in seeing how it compares to the novel version soon

Listened to “Two’s Company” from Once and Future this morning.

Once again I am pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy these stories the second time around.
Bumped my rating from a 2,5/5 :star: to a 3,5/5 :star:

Never has a story decreed Harry Sullivan an imbecile this many times.

I will say that “Once and Future” are the only stories I’ve listened to with the numerically designated Time Lord and just don’t know enough of them and their story with the Doctor to really “get” their interactions I think… Will have to remedy that soon I guess :slightly_smiling_face:

I listened to New Benny: Übermensch last night and will finish the box set with Auf Wiedersehen today. This is just a superb and marvellous set, but it makes me sad that it’s the last one for this TARDI-TEAM.

I know this is hyperbole but I wish they were both in every other release  two of my favourites!!

I was exactly the same. The reveal of who it was was completely lost on me.

It was only after listening that I went back and listened to Doom Coalition.

So yeah it’s a bit of a dartboard there, also the rest of Once and Future probably makes more sense after that too. I need to relisten with new context!

That would be super great!

I do think they’re a genuinely interesting villain. Some listeners feel they were overused and got a little bored by Mark Bonnar’s performance but I think there’s something to explore each time they show up.

They’re first introduced in Doom Coalition (to great effect I think) and then started popping up in other ranges. But if a different version pops up then I do enjoy the reveal that they are in fact that character.

Is there a badge for all stories featuring this character by the way?

And hang on - is this the first time you’d heard them? I thought you’d listened to Legacy of Time

Not yet :pensive: need to add loads more badges… soon!

You are correct that I have listened to those stories, but that was three months after I listened to Once and Future for the first time.
(Thank you TARDIS Guide for keeping track of such things because my mind is basically not able to do that )

I’ve got Doom Coalition loaded up for when I am done with Once and Future :+1:
The premise of the character of the Eleven is quite interesting, so I am a bit excited to hear more from them. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, this has all the makings of your lucky day

All appearances of The Multitude

(Still not sure if we are calling them “The Multitude” or something else)

“The Multitude” is a bit of a weird name. Do they ever actually present themselves by that name?

Not that I recall. They tried to come up with a general name, but found it too complicated and gave up lol

They do, in The Box of Terrors. Dark Gallifrey: Morbius uses the Collective for them as well. John Dorney apparently prefers the latter.

I was gonna listen to that but…

Well, it’s essentially an audio book in the Audio Novels range, which is why it’s so long.

I was apparently not paying attention when listening to Dark Gallifrey then…
