Wait, it’s longer?!?!
And I was hoping that it might be the better way for me to experience this story, rather than sitting through the episode again…

I know. I made it 1.5 speed now and it gets a bit better. But yeah I don’t recommend this one.
Who narrates the audiobook?
Is it William Russell?
Does their voice not sound a bit odd sped up?
Yes and he is good.
Not that bad actually. But I normally don’t do it.
It’s been a while since I’ve listened to the Sapphire and Steel audios but I remember being surprised just how dark some of them get (one in particular). More adult than Torchwood , but in a different way.
I went to the BF site and noticed a lot of them have trigger warnings on the descriptions!
I’m really feeling like I need to write a passioned defence of The Web Planet. Now I’ve got the Season 2 bluray maybe I’ll give it a rewatch.
Today I listened to Whispers of Terror and The Land of the Dead. I still need to go through the Audio Club threads for them and write my reviews, but taking a quick look at the ratings and reviews on the main site, it seems I have some controversial opinions once more.
Looking forward to your thoughts.
Curse of Time was perfectly. Alright. Which in any other circumstance is fine; but here is a shame.
I started Beyond the sun, with full knowledge that it’s a bit boring, listened to half of it and then had a busy day so not yet finished.
It is a bit dull though.
But I like Benny and am enjoying how it’s “mature” but not just for the sake of it.
I’ve heard the book version is a lot better
Yeah I am just doing audios at the moment because books take me way longer to get through. I want to catch up with all the new Benny stuff and then go back and can read after.
First Action Bureau is interesting. It reminds me a lot of Vienna. The “10 episodes at 10 minutes each” thing does leave me feeling like I’ve only listened to one episode. It feels incomplete, like they were definitely planning more. This isn’t helped by the youtube version of episode 10 ending with the announcement of series 2 coming in 2021. That still hasn’t happened. Even the new audio novel is a prequel.
Good, but really, really short
Been seeing random posts about “Once and Future” here and there lately. Went and watched @ChrisStokes 's YouTube video about it (which was great), and there’s stuff here I either don’t remember or missed on my first time through.
So I’ve started this morning with a repeat of “Past Lives” Quite enjoyed that as a standalone story, the dartboard effect doesn’t feel that pronounced in this one.
Really liked Rufus Hound as the Monk - fairly certain this is the only story I’ve heard with that incarnation.
I love Osgood! Bring her back on screen you cowards
Finished Doctor Who and Zarbi
Started Doctor Who and the Crusades. It is already so much better!!!
Then you should remedy that sooner rather than later. He’s the best incarnation since Peter Butterfield (maybe even better). He’s great in the second story of Missy 1 (Divorced, Beheaded, Regenerated · Missy S1 • Episode 2 · TARDIS Guide) and if you’re looking for cheap, he’s the narrator of a Short Trip (How to Win Planets and Influence People · Short Trips · TARDIS Guide).
I’ve been eyeing “Missy” for a long time, but other stuff keep “getting in the way”
It is interesting. I don’t think that I have come across any media that talk this much about how much Ian loves Barbara. Especially not one set during their time in the TARDIS.
Adding this to the endless list…
