TV Time - (but not Doctor Who!)

Yeah - I never liked it!

It was really good for all the reasons you wrote. Karen Gillan was amazing. I was a bit afraid that it would be a bit simular to the Morning Show but it was something completely different.

New episodes of The Bear dropped last week. While it’s not my favourite show, it is one that I always ‘enjoy’ watching.

I still love these openings.

Don’t watch if you plan on viewing B5 at some point as these credits show cast changes and explain where the story is at for that season.

Binging through the latest season of 911 and my goodness I love this series!

The episode with Maddie and Chimney’s wedding day had me on the edge of my seat literally for the whole episode.

Finished Alma’s Not Normal and it is wonderful and heartbreaking. Knowing that the material based around being in care and being a sex worker is based on Sophie Willan, the writer’s own experience makes it extremely powerful and very very funny.

Am watching the Star Trek animated series, in the classic Filmation style!

Currently rewatching s2 with my mum to give it more views and oh my god what a season what a show. The characters, storytelling, animation and everything is just phenomenal.

Anyone reading this who hasn’t seen it, 11/10 would recommend, even if you don’t know anything about Star Trek

Honestly, one thing with Prodigy is it always struck me as being designed as a good entry point for people who know nothing about Star Trek, even if they did have it be what happened after Voyager, and some great cameos from other Star Trek series.

(And from season 1, I love the episode “All the World’s a Stage”. Great comedy, great message, and really understands the spirit of Star Trek.)

Yeah!! Like I’m currently rewatching it with my mum who’s a very Casual trek watcher and doesnt retain The Lore™ like i do so while i do occasionally have to answer her “who’s this guy again” questions, she follows the story along pretty well

Binged the first season of Annika last night and this morning I’m on S02 already. Such a good way to practice my English listening. Can’t get what they are saying one third of the time without subtitles.

I’m currently enjoying the James Bond Marathon by @ChrisStokes . His enthusiasm has inspired me to consider reading Fleming’s novels, if I can find the time. Until then, I’ll just enjoy listening to him talk about James Bond.

Ooooh! I’m a Bond fan and I’ve been watching @ChrisStokes Doctor Who videos, but I’ve somehow missed out on these. Thanks for the tip, I’ll check them out!

Fleming’s books are a product of their time and they do have some problems, but they’re generally good and some are superb (such as Casino Royale!).

Thanks @Goibniu and @MrColdStream!

It’s apparently a smaller audience than the Who marathon but I’m having a great time doing it. Glad you’re watching along.

While I’m here - bit behind on TV watching it has to be said, struggling to fit it in. Only recently watched Happy Valley which was superb and only just got round to the final Inside No 9. Currently watching The Acolyte, which I’m not finding as poor as I was led to believe I would, and I’m going to make a start on Douglas is Cancelled soon. I wasn’t going to bother as the last thing I want to watch is ruminations on cancel culture and ‘you can’t say anything these days’ but apparently it isn’t what you’d expect, as I SHOULD have expected from Moffat I guess, so my curiosity is piqued…

Ah I love Bond as well  After The Empire Strikes Back, GoldenEye is the movie I’ve watched most ever (those two were basically on repeat when I was 13-15 years old :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m also watching the Acolyte and loving it, it might not be as good as the first season of the Mandalorian or Andor, but it is still pretty good Star Wars😁

And @Tian convinced me to start on Douglas is Cancelled, only seen the first episode but it is very recognisable a Steven Moffat script with lots of banter. Plus Hugh Bonneville, Alex Kingston and Karen Gillan firing on all cylinders. Great stuff :+1:
