So I have recently started the Torchwood monthly range from the beginning and I must admit, the quality is so good across the board. Are there any stories from the range you would recommend?

Honestly its one of the most consistent BF ranges for me, so good! That being said, have you any particular favourite characters you want to hear more from? Or would you like to delve more into the BF original character audios? (I highly recommend those btw).
There are also a handful of audios with Gwen set between S4 and S5 which are nice to listen to before S5, but by no means essential!

There are just too many good stories to mention here, but The Last Beacon, Dinner and a Show, and Reflect are definitely some of my favourites

You might find some recommendations in these other Torchwood audio threads:
BigFinish are well-known at this point for giving anyone and everyone a spin-off range… that’s probably why someone thought it was a good idea to resurrect the Paternoster Gang.
Their Torchwood output has always been some of their best, and they’ve branched off into a couple different series:
Torchwood Soho: set during the 1950s and with a distinct Quatermass vibe.
Torchwood One: takes the mick out of corporate culture, set before the Battle of Canary Wharf.
I’m honestly surprised BigFinish …
Partly wanting to hear other people’s thoughts on the ‘Norton Era’ of Torchwood, partly wanting to remind myself to get round to listening to Ascension at some point.
Torchwood Soho is a Big Finish series focusing on Torchwood One during the 1950s, featuring Andy Davidson from the main show, Norton Folgate (spinning out of his appearances across TW audio), and new characters Gideon Lyme, and Lizbeth Hayhoe. Uniquely for Torchwood, the boxsets for this range each tell a single story throughout t…
Likely the last of the these threads I’ll make. There’s no ‘Torchwood: 4000’ boxset, but there’s four stories (including a ‘trilogy’ in the main range) following this team!
The ‘Torchwood: 4000’ team is comprised of characters who survived The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit, who, as mentioned in the episode, were sent to Krop-Tor by The Torchwood Archive, each story featuring one a different member (with Zachary Cross-Flame, the leader, being in two). Their stories all take place after that tw…
Ayyye first real thread I’m gonna make. Idk if it already exists, my apologies if it does.
Anyways, TORCHWOOD!!! OUTSIDE THE GOVERNMENT, BEYOND THE POLICE!!!
Just a thread to share and discuss the slept on Torchwood audios because my GOD, they’re good as hell. Everything from the Monthly Range, the Story Continues, the Special Releases, even the BBC released ones. Let’s go nuts
I’d like to share my favorite Torchwood release being, Believe. My god, what a story.…
Unlike the other sets I’ve made threads for, there’s no ‘Torchwood: Victoria’ boxset. But It’s an era that contains enough stories that I think it warrants it’s own thread.
Torchwood is set up on May 17th, 1879 in Tooth and Claw, which leaves 22 years of Torchwood with Victoria at its helm. Big Finish have taken this and told multiple stories featuring Queen Victoria in the Torchwood Monthly Range. These stories seem to be looked down on a compared to other stories in the range which I think is…
Saw a thread of this topic on Twitter and wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts here.
The original focus of the monthly range was new stories from the TV cast set around the seasons of the TV show. However it seems that most of the TV Torchwood team are no longer available for the monthly range (or Big Finish won’t work with them in the case of Barrowman).
This means the actors who are still available (Rhys, Ianto and Andy) feature very heavily in the output. See the recent ‘Iant-ology’ whi…
Torchwood One is a Big Finish series focusing on Torchwood One during the early 2000s while Yvonne was at it’s head (as seen in Amy of Ghosts/Doomsday), and Ianto was still working there. It also features new original character Tommy Pierce. Each set in the range contains three ~60 minute stories, usually all linked together, leading into each other, taking place just after the last, or being thematically related.
So far there’s been five releases
Before the Fall
Machines
Latter Days
Nightmar…
Available now from Big Finish!

1901 - Six months after the death of Queen Victoria, her gung-ho daughter Princess Beatrice goes to visit the organisation she’s inherited. What is Torchwood?
Meanwhile, something has broken out of a vault deep beneath London. The Smiling Man is coming.

Might be worth renaming the “Continuing the monthly range” so it can just be the main thread for discussing the main/monthlies. All the others are quite clear name wise.

That’s about the future of the Monthly Range though?
Maybe I’ll make a thread for the Monthly Range and move stuff from the TV thread into there.
So much Torchwood!

Maybe we should have converted to Torchwood Guide yesterday instead - although probably not as funny!

Listened to The Dying Room today! A very enjoyable story. Simon Russell Beale was excellent, and while the plot was extremely predictable, it’s always gratifying to hear Nazis get ripped to shreds .
