What are you searching for? I just did Master of Spiders, Extortioner and Invasion of the Quarks and they all came up for me.
I tried searching for the Extortioner, Flower Power, and The Trodos Ambush - nothing’s coming up for me.
They all work for me too.
Are you perhaps searching in the left hand side, which only searches based on your current filters?
Ah, yes, that must be it - odd, since I didn’t have any filters on, but maybe I did and just didn’t realise?
I’ve been tidying up the TV21 Dalek strips and added in the two continuations which featured in DWM and, latterly, the fan magazine Vworp Vworp. I’ve got a few more characters and things to add and then they should be good to go.
Thanks. I just took the basics of what was on the wiki.
I’ll finish them off tomorrow as I need to get my copies out to check a couple of things that the wiki doesn’t say.
Hi again, just checking - if I’m putting in an anthology, should I just put in each individual short story with a note that ‘these are all part of X anthology’, and if so, can they be put with other short stories? Also, should short stories be separate from books?
Also, there is one story I entered that is classed as a ‘novella’- should that be separate from short stories/books?
Hey, yes short stories are all separate entries, and yes put a note and I’ll connect them.
No, it’s fine to put them together
Hmm I don’t have any separation from Novel or Novella, so you choose whether it is a short story or a novel (book).
Thanks!
I’d say novellas are books as they tend to be published separately, such as the Telos ones. That said, though, there are some Bernice Summerfield collections which are three novellas published in one book.
Soooo many gray areas!
FWIW, I’d be happy to help out here any way I can, at least until work gives me any actual work to do. Tuesdays and Thursdays I sit around the office, so I couldn’t do anything those days, but M-W-F I sit around at home. Time a-plenty.
I’d say if the Mr Men books are counted as Novels, Novellas count as novels
I misread this as ‘gay areas’ lmao, which tbf is also true
I’d say the TV21 Dalek strips sheet is good to go @shauny - thanks @DarthGallifrey for the legwork on that one.
I would be very happy to help with adding stuff to the spreadsheet - spreadsheets make my autism go brr, especially ones full of Doctor Who stories. I love spreadsheets. (And you can never have too many ways to procrastinate.)
Excellent, I’ll invite you.
I think I’m going to make a badge called “I love spreadsheets” for everyone who has helped with them
Hey,
Just wanted to say that I have followed in Tian’s lead and highlighted the rows that I think are ready to be uploaded. Currently, the spreadsheets with higlighted green rows are:
- Cwej: The Series non-anthology prose
- Blue Peter shorts
- stage plays
- The Cheshire House
EDIT: The Bernice Summerfield sheets also have stories ready for uploading (:
Also, ‘DWM Comics’, but that isn’t one I’ve worked one - I’m pretty sure that’s one of Tian’s.
I’m unsure if a story should be marked as ready if it doesn’t yet have a wiki page (there are a few stories which should have a page, but are pretty fringe, so the page just hasn’t been created yet. I’ve linked to the redlink/‘create this page’ page in those cases for now. And there are a lot of stories with minor info like number of pages missing (that I just can’t put in because I don’t have the book/story in question), or information that doesn’t seem to be publically available. But, other than that, the only real problem is that I’m unsure what to do in some cases, which is where I’ve left comments. Mainly I don’t know what to do when there’s a collection of vignettes, or when a story has different names in different editions, things like that. I’ll keep working on getting as much info as I can until I know what to do in those cases - there are so many stories, so, plenty to keep me busy!
Thanks so much! I’ll take a look when I can
