While I appreciate cats, and the cat thread, I think a dog thread is needed.

This is Diesel. He’s my partners dog that spends half the time at mine. He’s and old sleepy man, but he’s still ticking.

He is. He’s at the stage where he just sleeps all the time and lets you know when he needs to go outside, or the occasional fuss.

In the couple of years I’ve known Diesel, he hasn’t barked once. He barely lifts his head when he meets someone new.
Boots is a cutie.

Oooh great thread! I like cats and all animals, but I am much more a dog person.
This is Pearl. She is a very friendly girl who used to love playing. She is now a bit older and her hearing and sight are starting to go, but she still loves getting attention and pets and cuddling with her humans.
And this is Larry. He is missing his back left paw so he hops around everywhere. He loves getting treats, but loves getting attention even more. He loves to howl when he wants a treat or when he gets excited about having his humans nearby.
We rescued Pearl and Larry together eight years ago. They’re brother and sister from the same litter. They had been abandoned and taken to a shelter. We have been so lucky with them, because they are the friendliest dogs. They are getting older, and are slower than they used to be, but they still have their friendly temperaments.
