As many trailers have proven (Marvel being the best example), until I see it in an episode, I don’t pay attention to details in trailers. So many times things are changed, red herrings, or used to mislead viewers. Best example is The Hulk in the trailer for Infinity War, where they didn’t even appear in the film.
I thought this was faked by some fan because I tried rewatching it and saw the proper TARDIS interior!
Very interesting.
I had not seen this version prior to now but this is my screenshot and I promise I did not fake it
It comes from this Disney+ trailer! I remember it leaked about a week before it was meant to, but now it’s been re-listed. You have to pause it at the right time/slow it down to see it though
edited: didn’t read literally two posts up in this thread i’m stupid
It must be Pyramids of Marsright?
It’s Pyramids of Mars!
That is crazy!?!? Who would have guessed that?
The runtime is still marked as 76 minutes. PoM is 99 minutes. That means that they must have cut quite a lot of content to make it fit with the new scenes (or perhaps the runtime is wrong).
Well, most of it will be the 15 and Ruby stuff. They’re only showing about 1/4 of The Pyramids of Mars. In fact, I understand it will be shown under the title The Triangles of Mars.
There’s quite a lot of racism to trim in this one, in fairness.
I wonder if they’ll even have the Mummy robots.
I rewatched Pyramids last night and I agree there is so much bad and boring stuff to trim, could easily shave off 30 mins or more
But here’s the thing: the previous episodes haven’t trimmed anything but the opening and closing credits, the cliffhangers and the cliffhanger repeats at the beginning of every episode. This sounds more like they are doing a “Pyramids of Mars in Colour, Except It’s Already in Colour” edit, which is weird.
Honestly, if they cut that much we might end up with an “escape montage situation” from The Daleks in Colour. Just saying
Yeah, and that was a bad montage. I don’t want to see that again.
The previous ones were iplayer only tbf, they didn’t have to cut down for a TV slot
That’s a good point, also!
Apparently Benjamin Cook did the new edit of Pyramids of Mars so I’m hoping for another fun montage scene
Managed to convince my wife, 23 year old daughter and 21 year old son (back from Uni) to sit down and watch tonight’s TotT: Pyramids of Mars on broadcast at 20:00.
Stupidly excited about it for some reason. I know the story like the back of my proverbial hand, but… ooooh. Gimme, gimme gimme!

How about making a separate Tales of the TARDIS topic for tonights showing of Pyramids of Mars so potential spoilers are contained therein?
It doesn’t seem like I can do the spoiler-banner thing at the top otherwise I would just do it myself.
