Tales of the TARDIS

True, that’s the thing that speaks against this. Unless they’ve decided to go for a new approach and cut down a four-parter even more than previously

Or it could be the new colourized '60s story, of course :joy:

It’s The Edge of Destruction with 25 minutes of Ian and Susan bickering in the memory TARDIS…

You better begin practising your “Scotsman doing an English” accent, then, or we won’t accept you! And nye loads of her gel! And brainy specs! And sand shoes!

There is an article on Radio Times that gives a bit of details on this TOTT episode.
If this is for real I really hope they make it available internationally, otherwise it kind of sort of feels like a kick in the teeth to us outside the UK. Link below:

Interesting!

Unfortunately it is unlikely to come to Disney due to licensing issues. Disney don’t have the license for Classic Who stuff. It’s not really BBC or Disney’s fault, so don’t see it as a kick in the teeth!

Also some of it comes down to music licensing. BBC has a good deal on it.

I didn’t take it as such with the first six episodes, annoyed yes but nothing more.

But if it features scenes with the current Doctor and companion? I think that’s a slightly different kettle of fish

Considering all of the leaks have basically come true - return of the Anglican Marines, Dot And Bubble being about space racists, if it isn’t Sutekh at this point I’d be very surprised, unless of course they released different versions of the episode synopsis to avoid leaking.

Don’t keep your hopes up: this is made for the UK audience. The new stuff is really only there to provide some exposition for whatever Classic Who story they are showing. So it’s hardly anything very relevant. And even if it is, they usually end up on YouTube.

If that rumour is true, exciting but also makes me dubious - There hasn’t been one single good Sutekh story since Pyramids of Mars… but I wouldn’t be upset to see him at all.

I think there are still a couple of different options - as I said, it’s not uncommon for a show like Doctor Who that is very prone to leaks to release multiple versions of a season synopsis, not only to muddy the waters but also to identify potential leakers. It’s entirely likely that while the main body of the episodes were accurate, there were versions of the season sent out to people that feature Sutekh, the Fendahl, the Valeyard and Omega, and the fact that we saw the Sutekh one on the boards means that certain people are having difficult conversations with Bad Wolf.

I am not expecting them to appear internationally overnight, hopes are appropriately adjusted

But if I don’t let my fannish ire out here, then where? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

BTW the article said the Memory TARDIS was spotted in the trailers for this season of the main show, am I the only one not to have spotted that?

I don’t know, you could do it on Twitter (or X or whatever the stupid place is called these days) like everyone else :laughing:

I spotted it, it was in one of the Disney+ trailers, so an accidental reveal of the Memory TARDIS (since it wasn’t in any of the BBC trailers).

Just watched the D+ trailer again. I thought it would be a “blink and you miss it moment” but that was really front and centre. Clearly I need to be paying better attention

I need to watch this now as well

I’ve just watched it and I didn’t see it! Where is it???

Interesting.

This is the trailer, but that shot at 1:25 is different when you watch it on Disney+.

Here it is Ncuti shouting out of the TARDIS door with the current console room behind him. Watching it on Disney+ the Memory TARDIS interior can be seen with Mel standing behind him…
