Randomoid Selectotron: BUCKUP: Blakeās 7: The Classic Adventures: 2.6 Truth and Lies
Big Finish Release Date Schedule:
** The Eighth Doctor Adventures**: Echoes** - This Week
What Big Finish I was listening too today: Ha!
Random Tangents: The podcast gets thousands of streams a week and Benji doesnāt really get a bank holiday. Benji gets an AI to write a synopsis for a TV series where Wookie Hole is the center of cheese and cracker industry.
The three New Who Target Novelisations have been listed as: Space Babies by Alison Rumfitt; Rogue by Kate Herron and Briony Redman; and 73 Yards by Scott Handcock.
Something interesting about this podcast (which Iāve just listened to) is that the epic backlog of Fourth Doctor Adventures were, according to Nick, recorded at Tom Bakerās requestāhe wanted to do as many as possible before itās impossible.
I canāt find it right now, but I read somewhere that Louise Jameson said that she has at least a dozen recorded stories with Tom that donāt have release dates yet. It wouldnāt surprise me if there is 30+ in the backlog, or there is a load that have his part recorded but not other characters. Iāve heard he likes to just bash through scripts one after another.
Saw on a Big Finish group Iām part of on Facebook someone posted May release dates for stuff from Twitter. Eighth Doctor: Echoes drops on Thursday (May 16), Missy: Bad Influence drops on May 21, and the new Ninth Doctor set drops on May 29.
This is equally eerie and sad to me. Imagine that there will come a day in the not so distant future where we will be listening to new Fourth Doctor Adventures knowing that the man himself has long since passed away. Iām dreading that day!
This is super helpful, it allowed me to schedule all those sets in advance so I donāt have to worry about scrambling to add them as soon as they drop.
Could we maybe have a thread for future release dates so I can keep up to date? (I donāt use Facebook and rarely use Twitter).
Iām not on Twitter and not on Facebook as often as I used to be. This is my primary social media spot now. So, if I happen to see something, Iāll pass it on, but canāt guarentee anything.
Iām going to create a new thread that I can maintain with future releases. Iām still on Twitter, and they usually give releases dates a week or so before. Iāll just have to pay more attention to them.
Iām on Twitter occasionally and I listen to the Big Finish podcast as well, so Iāll try to keep track of the release dates so I can pass them along before the releases drop
While Big Finish are doing the Deathworld adaptation even though thereās very little of info available, there are still no plans to do The Six Doctors as was originally intended for the 20th anniversary as there are even less details available.
No plans for more Companion Chronicles featuring 80ās companions.
One of the reasons Big Finish have experimented with a āBoxset divided into individual CDās and released monthlyā as seen with Sontarans vs. Rutans (and presumably Dark Gallifrey) came down to the fact that during inflation hikes, people may have been more willing to just buy individual stories and not worry about a bulk boxset. It was also mentioned that this increases plastic usage which itself isnāt good, and that theyāre trying to figure out the best way to do these releases.

What Big Finish I was listening too today: No Big Finish, but Google Podcasts is ending in the next couple of weeks and I need a new Podcast App. Considering I have premium subscriptions I need an app that works with those. Any help?
Every time they announce one of these Eight and Lucie bundles I have a little heart attack because I have a split second when I think theyāre announcing new Lucie Miller stories which I know is deeply unlikely because Sheridan Smith is so busy, but a girl can dream
