I still find the rani being back absolutely hilarious. “of course not every mysterious woman is the rani, obviously mrs flood isn’t!!!” and we were COMPLETELY wrong :skull:

New fear unlocked. Can’t get David Tennant back, so time to get the next best thing ::laughing:. I don’t want to think of the implications of the Doctor turning into Rose… I would be incredibly weirded out if I were them, among other things.

Of all the companions for the Doctor to regenerate into, Rose is way, way down my list…

I would be interested in seeing Nicola Walker or Hattie Morahan’s take on the character. Also Lisa Bowerman – but please give us Benny onscreen first!

On a serious note, although I would dislike for a former companion actor to be the next Doctor (it would feel like a gimmick), I think Billie Piper would be excellent in the role, and so would Camille Coduri (even if she’s probably not being considered for the role).

Assuming that we get 8 episodes next series, what writers do we wanna see?

For me, I’d say something like this would work:

Ep 1 - RTD
Ep 2 - BF writer (e.g. Alfie Shaw, James Goss, Joe Lidster, Lisa McMullin etc)
Ep 3 - Inua Ellams (The Story & the Engine)
Ep 4 - New Writer
Ep 5 - New Writer
Ep 6 - Vinay Patel (Demons of the Punjab & Fugitive of the Judoon)
Ep 7 & 8 - RTD

If I could squeeze it to 10, I’d have included Joy Wilkinson (The Witchfinders) and Jamie Mathieson (Flatline, Mummy on the Orient Express, The Woman who Lived)
