On Suggestion Form and Story Edit Moderations

Also another thought I had is to make a page that lets you choose a trope, or an inventory item, or a publisher, stuff like that, then just choose as many stories as you want and when you submit it they all get added as suggested edits (skipping any that already have them).

That would be really useful and a much quicker way of editing in bulk.

What do you think, would that be useful to you?

That would be super useful!

That’s a great idea. I’ve been thinking about searching for our tropes on the Wiki to see which stories have them and then add the trope to the stories that don’t yet have them. And that’s easier if you can add multiple stories at once.

I must admit I had this idea when someone showed me a wiki page with every Psychic Paper use on it and I had to manually edit about 30 stories :smiling_face_with_tear:

I also think that’s a great idea.

Should we add the Chameleon Arch to Inventory?

It’s under Story Arc but not every story where it appears is part of that arc.

Oh yes good idea.

I’ve added it to the database and added it to Human Nature, feel free to add it anywhere else!

Not sure why I didn’t think of this sooner tbh…

I’ve now blurred suggested edits for stories you have not yet completed :tada: so you can safely look and only approve the ones you know.

I was thinking too much about hiding them completely, but then worried about what if none of us have completed it and it’s just a simple page number change or something. Now you can decide if you want to risk being spoiled! Just click the blur to unblur it.

Oh, that’s perfect! Makes it so much easier to avoid getting spoiled while approving edits. Good work!

I think that it would be useful to suggest orders for stories in a set. A lot of sets have the same release day for the whole set (anthologies and such), and the order then becomes random, but often there is a fixed order. Can this be fixed? I know that sets only work on dates now, but I think that this could be useful.

I though they also work on episode numbers that are inported from the spreadsheets? Some of the sets don’t have them though

@shauny can correct me if I am wrong but I think that it is only dates

Rather than building a tool for taking suggestions, because it won’t happen much, it would be useful to just send me the details.

Whilst yes they currently work on dates automatically, I do have a way to manually re-sort them now

I think the PROBE ones are a mess currently and just haven’t fixed them. If someone can send the details I can do it!

Do you want me to do it with the suggestion form or just send you a message here?

They are a mess to be fair. @JayPea can probably suggest something for them.

I also noticed that all the stuff from Annuals from 2007-2025 are not in the Annuals set. I am reading a lot of short stories right now. That is how I noticed this :joy:
