There are both “The Solar System” and “Solar System” in the location tags. Might need to merge them @shauny
A nice update on this!
This update is for moderators only at the moment - people who have access to moderate edits
There is now a “Revision History” section on every story. You can view it to see all the changes that have been suggested, and see which are approved or still pending.
This is useful to see if your suggestion has already been made but is pending, or to find out who it was that made a change that you disagree with!
This is a very rough stage and will be improved as time goes on! Plus it will be opened up to everyone once I am finished with it!

(One improvement I will make is the ability to vote to approve something straight from here, and also see how many votes something has had!)
Oh, this is great! It makes it easier to see the state of the suggested edits. No more anxiety about my edits not going through
I’ve tweaked the ‘spoiler moderation for stories you’ve not completed yet’ a bit.
Now, things that definitely aren’t spoilers, like runtime, writer, director, web link, iplayer, etc. etc. don’t get blurred out.
This should save time and help us get through the backlog of edits quicker
Another quick update (this whole thing needs a visual overhaul but I’m just adding nice-to-have features quickly while I notice things that bug me!)
Now that we can hide spoilers, I find myself scrolling down, down, down the list until I find ones that aren’t blurred.
So I’ve added a checkbox that you can check which will hide all the blurry ones!
I do worry that some edits will never get approved because none of us have completed the stories… I am thinking about how best to resolve that, including eventually giving these mod powers to more people for things like this in these circumstances. Any ideas welcome!
I approve edits to most stories I haven’t completed yet, mostly because I know that I’m not going to complete them in a long while and will have forgotten about them by the time I get to them. I only skip the stories that I know I’m planning on completing soon, such as the new TV episodes or new audio releases. But that’s just me.
There are a fair amount of stories I don’t mind getting spoiled. I’ll probably have forgotten all about it when I get to them anyway
Yes that’s the difficulty… working out which stories you wouldn’t mind being spoiled versus ones that you’re likely to complete next…
And each story with edits tends to be in the queue something like five times, too. Sometimes with the same person editing their own edits. It’d be really nice if all the edits to a story were grouped together into one entry…
Do you mean just visually?
Because I wouldn’t want to lump all edits on a story into ONE “approve” button because there might be some you can easily approve, and others that require discussion or research. Some that are correct, and others that are wrong. That’s why I split them out.
I mean visually. The individual entry should have multiple approve buttons for the different edits, as well as one big one if you think everything is correct.
The situation would be so much better if edits of one story are all in the same entry
Also, if there are two edits by the same person and one overrides the other, automatically override the earlier one?
Oh I think that’s two different Shadas
Different Shadas take place in different times? I’m definitely not qualified to approve those…
Edit: Or maybe I’m failing at reading comprehension…
Maybe we need more indication what variation an edit is for, then…
I remember we discussed it somewhere on the forum. We define time travel as relevant to the time of publication, rather than past/present/future for companion because it gets confusing very quickly (and that’s what shauny went for at the very start so there’re still some stories need sorting out)
This isn’t likely to happen much and you can click the title to see the story in question
It would be nice if we could get an indication of what is new. Maybe make the new one green and make it red if something is removed.
Or maybe you need glasses. Prequel to Let’s Kill Hitler is clearly the new edit here.
