Yeah it’s very unintuitive at the moment. It seems when they’ve updated the app they’ve removed all of the free/promotional stuff accidentally, I wonder if it’s an unintended consequence of the ‘disabled inactive products’ note on the newest update.
Jesus, I’m in awe at how badly this whole thing went. Like I didn’t think Big Finish of all things could mess up something this bad. Disappointing and pretty sad, especially for their anniversary.
Now that “ranges” are done away with in favor of collections, they really need a War Doctor collection in their Doctor Who series carousel (https://www.bigfinish.com/series/doctor-who?pg=1&ps=16).

The person in charge of updating their Facebook page is in all likelihood completely unrelated to the site/app and stopping them from doing this wouldn’t fix those any faster. I don’t see a reason to be mad about this.
Website’s partially down at the moment. You can go to the homepage, but start digging into series or your account and you get a simple “500 - Server Error” Hopefully is so they can work on things. I mean, I would’ve wished that they’d waited until it was fully ready and/or taking the website ofline for a few days while they ported everything over. It would’ve been better than this.
Does the app work now?
Kind of. Its not as good as the old one (at least on my phone I have to open the app to pause it) but its better than it was on Tuesday.
Especially considering that he’s started to crossover with other ranges (like Susan’s War and Dark Gallifrey).
App still doesn’t have all my titles, not even Nightshade which I bought during the novel adaptations sale recently, so I guess I’ll get ready to email them on the 5th if my stuff isn’t fully transferred by then like they said to. Bit frustrating
I’m really struggling to download stuff on the app it gets there eventually but I can only do one at a time and the downloading circle jumps back and forth randomly… Can’t wait for it to keep getting more updates to improve it
Oof… The product library interface is really dire. This whole situation is rather frustrating, though I can’t say I’m really surprised; mandating objectively inferior redesigns of websites seems to be the trend du jour.

If you make any purchaes, they should be immediately avaliable when released.
Also, if you wnat to be immune to future technical issues Big Finish have, I’d recommend making a physical backup (ie USB stick, SD Card, Hard drive) of current purchases. I was mocking the idea last week, but I think I’ve learnt my lesson on it.
