Ah yes, Frengers is a great album!

(Changes is now playing on repeat in my head; thanks, @shauny!)

I’ve never really listened to Tom Waits, though I am aware of his Small Change album and The Piano Has Been Drinking, which my dad (an amateur guitarist) translated to Swedish (he changed the piano to a guitar) and performed at our family gatherings for many years.

That sounds great

One of my sisters live in Stockholm and I used to play The Piano has Been Drinking for her, which left her kind of annoyed. Perhaps I should have her boyfriend (who plays the guitar) perform that Swedish version for her

Maybe she’d prefer “Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis”?

Went to see I Should Be So Lucky - the Musical today and it has such a good playlist of Stock Aitken and Waterman hits.

Very funny and camp as Christmas too.

Since we ended up talking about the episode…

And as long as I’m in that franchise, here’s one from the department of villains who sing all about their evil plan on stage…

This is a perfect encapsulation of what I expect we get from the Jinxx Monsoon episode

If it is, I’d love it. I love villain songs, and villains manipulating people/the world through music is always great. One of the bits in the trailer that got me excited was the bit with a whole crowd of people holding umbrellas dancing in the rain that looked very much like they might be doing a musical number.

I hope the songs are good!

I am much more of a podcast and audio listener but I’ll listen to the odd album every now and then but I listened to Cowboy Carter last night and was absolutely blown away by how good it is. No skips.

I’m going to count this as Easter music due to the bunny in the music video…

Does that mean Donnie Darko is an Easter movie?

Never heard that before but I really like it. Added to my favourites.

Now you’ve made me think of “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” :sunglasses:

Another Easter song?

Well, if a cover counts, I’d imagine the original would as well…

Yeah, I actually really like that one too, jokes aside.

Oh I bloody hate Donnie Darko - pile of nonsense!
