Finished re-watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
This is Michael Bay’s most insane and psychopathic masterpiece.
I love seeing my favourite character committing the most heinous and nastiest war crimes. Truly amazing stuff.
The second half is so bonkers I just cannot hate it. The Avengers (2012) is nothing compared to the battle of Chicago.
In fact, I would go as far to say that The Avengers is overrated and Dark of the Moon is kino.
Joss Whedon is a hack and he ruined modern cinema with his “wItTy DiAlOGuE”.
I listened to the latest episode of The Final Girls podcast earlier, they discussed The Stepford Wives & Demon Seed. Both on my next to watch list. I have seen them before.
Just watched Mother and goddamn, what a movie. Nobody does a final act like Bong Joon-Ho
I had a huge list of films to choose from to watch on the airplane back home, and spent ages deciding before I watched Moana 2.
For context, the first Moana was one of my favourite ever films, and I hadn’t read any reviews or ratings of the new one yet.
Oh dear. It was just so mid. Apparently it was supposed to be a straight-to-streaming TV series on Disney+ and they instead mashed it together to make a movie? Yeah, you can tell.
Plus at the end there is a clear indication of the third film, or a series.
Ugh, they did not do it justice at all!!
The visuals were stunning though.
To be honest I saw 0 publicity for this film so I know nothing about it…
Sounds like the second Disney Atlantis movie.
I really tend to just assume most Disney sequels/remakes will be mid.
(Except Ducktales. That’s an exception.)
Yeah, it’s a great movie! Which is why it got a sequel! Which apparently isn’t a great movie!
I hope they don’t butcher the new Lilo & Stitch too badly. It’s a childhood favourite of mine and I don’t want to be disappointed!
Atlantis (the first one) is an underrated gem of a Disney movie. The sequel is, as you say, three episodes of an aborted TV series rammed together into a ‘film’. They did a few of those around that time.
Some aren’t too bad - Pocahontas II isn’t terrible.
That’s not really a movie you can have too many sequels of, though. Pocahontas died when she was 20 or 21 years old…
I’m pretty sure both films take more than a few liberties with the actual history…
She comes back to haunt John Smith.
Ghostahontas?
Odds are she’d want you to call her Rebecca, actually…
That’s the B-movie horror version they’re gonna make down the line!
Believe it or not, not as old as you
With age comes wisdom young padawan!
I’ve never watched a Final Destination film, and I have absolutely no clue what they are about.
