Also, self destruct should be a last resort, not first, and really, why would the ruin K9’s design like that?
Main cast is pretty unmemorable, too. Kind of like the Professor, but that’s likely largely because I like mad scientist characters…
Should probably watch another just so I can try to remember this cast. The professor, K9, the narc assistant, Starkey the idiot, and the girl?

The girl being the daughter of the evil department head might actually make the character even worse, since her hacking through security is probably just watching her mom as she types in passwords.
Should probably watch something actually good now, though.
Funnily enough I watched this yesterday! Story was a bit pants I thought but basically because it was just a series of events. Otherwise it was bog standard kids TV fare I thought. It’s a shame it wasn’t better because I thought the general set up might have made for a really good kids show. But it would have needed a better script, better direction and a couple of better performances.
One episode in, was there something wrong with where I was watching or was literally every line of dialog ADRed?!
A lot of the dialogue seems ADRed - especially anything Starkey says. No idea if it is or if it’s just a really weird sound mix.

And I watched “The Bounty Hunter”. The recording at the start gave me a fair amount of Myst vibes.
Think my score on this one lowered by a full point in the last fourth of the episode when rating it…
Funny thing is that I didn’t think K9 was innocent, I just figured the guy needed murdering.
Well, Sirens of Ceres is the last one for the day. This one is almost worse for the fact there were parts I liked. I kept starting to get interested because I liked the whole mind control Stepford Wives thing it had going, then it’d switch back to being bad, and I repeatedly got whiplash. Not sure whether to rate it higher for the good bits or lower for the bad…
I realized the moment I fell into the fissure that the book would not be destroyed as I had planned…

After reading some of the comments in this thread ,I just bought the ‘volume 1’ DVD and look forward to enjoying the first 12 episides soon.
However, neither the volume 2 DVD nor the ‘ultimate collectors edition’ seem to be actually available anywhere. Amazon has the series to stream in its search index, but can’t actually do it.
Anyone know where I can ge tthe remaining episodes?
I can’t remember where I eventually tracked down Vol 2 - I think it ended up being an ebay job because, as you say, it’s hard to get a hold of from the usual outlets.
