You do have the most devastating smile
Oh my, I’ve never heard that one before
Indeed I didn’t even know it existed .
I must rectify this ASAP
it’s a short trip that kind of slots in after Enemy Lines and it is so much. And it makes me feel utterly insaneeee
Well colour me intrigued
Okay I’ve just listened to Erasure.
That was something else.
5/5 and a
from me.
Narvin, you are much more than Leela’s 18th favourite Time Lord!
“My dear Leela…”
Isn’t it just. It’s just sooo… if I think about it for too long I literally explode
OK. I’m gonna relisten to Erasure again.
Listening this over dinner now. I could never get enough Seán Carlsen’s narration!
“My dear, sweet Leela…”
Disassembled is literally sooooooooo good. Evil Leela is just
and how I feel about her aside Louise Jameson is just so absolutely fantastic in this one. Easily my fav ep in s4
I felt like going forward with Gallifrey again.
Listening to War Room 1 for the first time, just listened to “The Last Days of Freme”.
Good story and a natural progression for Leela’s character and Louise Jameson is amazing as ever
Ken Bones just have got an amazing voice
Still not quite sold on Richard Armitage’s Rassilon.
I miss Narvin and Romana
4/5
About to start Weapon of Choice just in time for audio club extras and if Narvin doesn’t live up to my expectations that this forum has set I am going to be very disappointed.
Give Narvin time - he’ll win you over - he wins everyone over
Just a reminder that Audio Club Extra for Weapon of Choice will be dropping tomorrow.
Has someone got the smelling salts ready for @sircarolyn ?
Clubs are fun, but I wouldn’t call them my weapon of choice. Though I can’t say I’ve run into an audio one…
I’m so excited to relisten Weapon of Choice for Idk… fifth or ninth time!
I say this because I struggled to follow the polt a lot at the start. I needed four or five listens to get through one story. So gald this time is over
I’l be okay… probably
Just listened to the second War Room 1 story. “The Passenger”.
It’s definitely good stuff, but it is not quite the Gallifrey I fell in love with…
The General, Ollistra, Veklin and Rasmus are all good characters, but it will take a while before my mind will accept that Narvin and Romana is not our front and centre cast anymore…
But I quite liked this story. There is a bit of the Celestial Intervention Agency’s underhandedness going on in the War Room plots, and I like that
A 3,5/5
It is heartbreaking to have no Romana isn’t it I do hope we get her back in any form at all for WR3, I think WR overall will stagnate otherwise
But it also definitely feels like they’re trying to establish a new central cast, which is fine and I like them. But it’s not why I love Gallifrey
It’s all a ploy - Lalla Ward and Carole Ann Ford will show up on screen next season of televised Doctor Who and will do a heroic feat resulting in a double regeneration. Then we will get a new TV spinoff about the Adventures of Romana III and Susan II in a TARDIS that they will nick from the Fourteenth Doctor.
Just wait and see
I think if that happened I would actually expire for real. Susan and Romana…!!!
I meanwhile have my tin foil hat on still about Jason Haigh-Ellery’s comments about WR3 being delayed due to ‘overseas scheduling issues’
(That is probably the more likely thing to happen😉)
What do we think of the War Room theme tune? I’m not quite sure yet, but then again I didn’t like when it shifted the first time, but that second theme is the better of those two for me
