Glad you enjoyed it! If you want to see more about what people are saying about these early episodes, check out the audio club extra threads! There’s no time limit for participating and they have a lot of fun conversations and you get a badge if you post in them lol
Here’s the one for weapon of choice if you want to read it:
Audio Club Extra: Gallifrey 1.1 - Weapon of Choice
@sircarolyn not specifically Gallifrey, but Big Finish podcast [1]from today said that Lalla Ward is still playing Romana and it sounded like they have done recordings with her in Hongkong so we can all pray that that means Romana in War Room
around the 40 min mark if anyone wants to check ↩︎
Taking a deep breath… though Miles Richardson said she was living in France when we spoke to him at Gally so who knows what’s happening there
interesting. the podcast did say she lived in hongkong specifically but who knows she might have moved or like be living in france for a short time or something
Omg real Romana in future bf releases?? Please please please let that be true I miss her so bad and War Room, though good, is so hard to enjoy without her in it
The point more than anything is LALLA RETURN REAL!!!
yeah basically they were answering emails and someone asked if there were plans for her in the future and the answer to that was a very empathic YES and that they can’t say any more because don’t want to spoil anything
ROMANA!!! oh that makes me so happy
they’re doing more gallifrey is 20 sets not enough?
I’m frothing at the mouth here let’s manifest an announcement soon or I’m going to die
No. There will never be enough
there can never be enough
No, that’s not enough. However, this is more speculation on the remaining two War Room sets that were each delayed a year from their original release dates with no announcement or explanation. So, the big hope is that the delay was to accommodate Lalla’s schedule.
im trying to finish the first set and the 2nd episode i did was dissapointing.
yeah square one is one of the weaker ones imo, especially in its treatment of Leela, but I truly recommend you listen at least to the first series or a little into the second one which is where it gets really good
That’s like saying ‘they’re doing more Doctor Who, isn’t 60 years enough?’
Gallifrey is immensely popular out of the big finish ranges, and has been going on successfully for years with many different eras. There are still many stories that can be told, especially if (please let this be the case) Romana is coming back.
I second this. It was at series 2 that I became truly obsessed with Gallifrey, and series 1 retrospectively became even better.
my only problem with this range is that it doesnt focus on action that much, not really into politics that much.
Then it may be that this series isn’t for you, it isn’t much of an action series
I’m sorry I didn’t mean to come of as a dick,just sharing what i think,I apologize again.
