One of my absolute favourites!! (Blind Eye, Spirit, Fractures, Dissembled, Annihilation, Renaissance, Erasure, TW2, Unity, First Days of Phaidon, Transference IS the list btw not allll of them are my favourite :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

Louise is just SOOOOO good in Fractures, it gets me every time

I love that my favourites so far are actually very similar to yours! Spirit and fractures are definitely my top ones so far, and I’d put a blind eye on three. I also have weapon of choice, lies, insurgency and imperiatrix marked as favourites right now, but I feel like those may not stay there once I get further in the series because there’ll be more competition and it feels odd to have half a series marked as favourite.

Also yesss, Louise is so good in all of these but this one is just superb when she cried, that was so unbelievable heartbreaking and actually there this one is so interesting for Leela as a character and it really would not be without that excellent acting.

And so true, Leela would be vastly less a good character if Louise didn’t knock it out of the park every single time

Well, Series 3 keeps on giving! Mindbomb was a great penultimate chapter, which finally put a lot of focus on political scheming amidst the election. Also, Brax returns in a surprise twist and finally defeats Darkel?! And the Matthias the fucker is elected president?!?!

Here’s ny main positives and negatives:

Positives

  1. Engaging Political Intrigue: The political thriller elements are a strong point, with Darkel, Matthias, and Romana’s ideological clash driving the narrative.

  2. Real-World Parallels: Darkel’s populist rhetoric mirrors modern political manoeuvring, adding depth and relatability.

  4. Strong Climax: Braxiatel’s return and his strategic outmanoeuvring of Darkel deliver an earned and satisfying resolution.

  6. Effective Setup for the Finale: The twist of Matthias becoming President creates anticipation for what comes next.

Negatives

Brax coming back never gets less exciting. I love Mindbomb, it’s a real high of the series for me. Alarming how relevant the politics still are though isn’t it :frowning:
