Having both read the book recently and listened to it, I do remember that the opening chapter or two of the book wasn’t in the audio, and reading the book first did work out for me…

To be fair, they were only able to start Big Finish because of Benny. They are sort of obligated to prefer her.
If not for that, maybe they’d have the correct opinion.

I mean, Benny has a cat. River does not that I know of. So Benny is clearly the correct choice.
(And even if River did have a cat, they’d have to find a pretty good voice actor for it to beat Wolsey…)

I can recommend NOT getting the Doctor of War sets 
Truly awful stuff.
Lots of other good stuff there like River, Rose, UNIT and Master!
There’s a couple releases there I don’t have so might grab them.

The Doctor of War needs to be a on a clearance sale of at least eighty percent off for it to be worth purchasing.
100 is on sale for any Evelyn fans. One of my favorite BF stories, 100 BC, is in that set.
