I have just joined today and am excited to have found this group!
In all honesty, I’m a Doctor Who newbie.
My sons loved the Doctor Who series growing up, but they’re now in their 20’s and doing other things. I have always been a reader, so all of my Doctor Who has been mostly through books.
I have read in the last few months:
“The way through the woods”
“Paradox Lost”
“Plague of the Cybermen”
“Touched by an Angel”
I have about 5 pages left of “Borrowed Time” and then I’m not sure what the next book will be.
I was going to start “The Silent Stars Go By”, but now I’m rethinking that idea because I’d like to do a “read along” with everyone. I do love the eleventh doctor most though…
You’ve found a lovely bunch of Doctor Who fans of all sorts - some are more experienced than others, but everyone brings something interesting to the community!
And it’s fantastic how many great books this franchise has spawned!
It sounds like the Book club might be for you, feel free to join in any thread.
We are also doing a read along of Terror Moon right now, a choose your own adventure book.
Welcome to the forums @JohnnyRockets - great to have you here. Doctor Who has a long tradition in book form so it’s a great way to have adventures with the Doctor.
Other people have mentioned the book club, but I also want to throw out another thread that might be useful, if you’ve got a few ideas for what to go for next!
Welcome! The Books category might be for you, as well as the Comics category as that counts as reading too. Of course the clubs have already been mentioned, if Matt Smith is your favorite, then maybe check out the eleventh-doctor tag as well.
You’re so lucky to find such a site be new to Doctor who. You can keep everything logged perfectly! I have such a backlog I can’t remember when I watched the tv/listened to the audio/read the book…
