There’s some great stuff, some meh, some abysmal (looking at you Falcon and Winter Soldier). I’ve still not seen Echo, Hulk (the original movie ) or the recent Captain America one. Also not seen the new Daredevil show because as much as I want to, I only saw 1 and 1/2 seasons of the original, and I feel I’d rather watch all that first.
Andor Episode 1 - I love this darker corner of the Star Wars universe. I am invested now!
I really should give it a try again someday I tried the first ep and didn’t enjoy it. Maybe I will now
I never got past the first couple of episodes of Andor…
Ive only seen 3 main line Star Wars films, 4 if you count Rogue One
The question is, have you seen the correct three?
If you mean 3, 7 and 8, then yes
That’s a weird trio, but okay
I enjoyed them all
Three episodes into Andor. It is a bit slow, but I have not lost interest. One plus is that it is always a delight to watch a Skarsgård in action!
Shameless plug incoming…
So, following on from Doctor Who Drag Race I’ve decided to do a one-off Star Wars series, as a big fan of the franchise! For anyone who’s not seen the other one I’ve done ,or even Drag Race. Basically, I’ve put them into this simulator which randomises their statistics from acting, to comedy, to design skills. Then, they all get put together and go through a variety of challenges, winning them and being eliminated until finally, there is a winner!! Feel free to watch along below Any Q’s feel free to ping me a message!
Whaaattttt???
(And I know it’s hugely problematic nowadays, but I have such a fondness for One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing - and Pertwee has a cameo in it too).
I was talking in the what’s made/not made your day chat about needing to write a Star Wars fan film for a class. I was thinking about the tight time and budget constraints we’ll have for the class, and I had an idea to make it a bit more meta and set it in our world. If anyone is willing, I’d love some feedback on the idea!
Our protagonist has never seen Star Wars, but is currently pursuing a love interest who is obsessed with it. The main character’s roommate is also a huge Star Wars fan, and tells their roommate that they’re on an invite only forum for Star Wars fans on campus. Someone on the forum has revealed that they’re looking to sell an extremely rare piece of merch. The main character thinks it will help them win their love interest’s favor, and plans to buy it. Unfortunately, their love interest’s birthday is in less than 24 hours, and the seller isn’t responding online. Since the server is invite only, our protagonist figures that, if they’re very fast and very lucky, they might be able to track the person down by following a chain of inviters and invitees before the party. Along the way, they learn about the strange and wonderful world of Star Wars, and its equally strange and wonderful fandom.
This would be great! /gen
Sounds fun. Got me thinking about the movie with Kristen Bell where someone is dying and tries to track down George Lucas to see Episode 1 before release. I don’t remember the name of the film but remember that I enjoyed it (had a crush on Bell after Veronica Mars and that might have helped the film).
Would that be Fanboys?
Yes! That is what it was called!
I wonder if I would like it if I rewatched it now.
Well there is only one Way to find out!
…After you finished your Doctor Who Backlog of course /j
