Two for me. This is one of those very rare stories that I just do not like. Trouble is, whilst there are elements I like, some good ideas just like we’d expect from Mathieson, other elements are just so bad that I can’t overlook them. In particular (and for a professional biodiversity researcher, this is egregious indeed) YOU DON’T GET ELECTRIC EELS IN EUROPE! And, no, European eels can’t produce electricity like that). i don’t mind Doctor Who being silly, but I can’t abide it being stupid! (Looking at you, too, “In the Forest of the Night”). Wish I could enjoy this story more than I do, but I’ve tried.
Apologies. Not like me to be so negative… but this story just gets my goat. I’ll move on so I can be happier!

Three. Went for The Eaters of Light then Listen. I mostly like this story, there’s a few weak elements, but I think Capaldi’s performance more than makes up for those.

Took me all five, I also guessed Eaters of Light, it has similar vibes I think. But yeah this is a story I don’t rewatch much. I remember where I was when I first saw it (in a caravan lol) because I remember it being a rare time when my other half paid full attention and I was so disappointed that it was pretty bad, it probably scared him off from watching it for the next decade

All 5 - thought we were being thrown a 'we’ve had that one before’ because I thought the carving was from Legend of the Sea Devils - so ended up all over the place as a consequence.

Actually, it’s good to read this. I thought it was a generally well regarded episode and have always felt bad that this one irks me so. Seems I am not alone in my dissatisfaction.
