@PeriDox, I’d actually recommend the audios with Eight over the novels. Because A. the audios are easier to get ahold of than the novels (due to the novels being 19-27 years out of print); and B. the audios actually having McGann in the role and being more consistent in characterization (usually). Don’t get me wrong, there are good Eighth Doctor novels with Vampire Science, Alien Bodies, Option Lock and Legacy of the Daleks springing to mind among the early ones. That said, those authors were going entirely off the TV Movie (which I do love), whereas the audios have McGann putting his own take on the lines.
