What's your Doctor Who 'ick'?

I think they’re in for a world of hurt come the release of “The War Between the Land and the Sea” then!

Dare I say… “The memory cheats!” :stuck_out_tongue:

In my current marathon I’m reaching the backend of the Matt Smith era. The ick that I’m battling with at the moment is the flirting which crops up in most episodes. I didn’t notice it as much at the time but it often feels quite forced watching them back now.

Moffat does like a lot of flirting

Are you, River Song afficionato that you are, eyerolling flirting? :eyes::thinking:

Oh, River can flirt as much as she likes, it’s basically her entire personality, and I love her for it.

But I’m not a fan of the Doctor flirting with random people, with other companions, and people flirting with him, etc.

Finally admitting how one-note River’s characterisation is… :smiling_imp:

It especially annoys me when 11 flirts a lot in series 6 and 7 cause in series 5 he reads as extremely aroace with no interest or even concept of romance to me and I love that characterisation of him

She’s a brainwashed psychopath engineered to assassinate the Doctor, who she fell in love with.

Hobbies including flirting, archaeology, flirting, stealing, flirting, shopping, flirting, and saving the universe.

She’s not one-note. She’s just incredibly flirty.

You said it was her whole character, not me…

I would go one further and say Moffat (as much as I love his run) is the master of random awkward lines. Some of his jokes just don’t land at all. And don’t get me started on Amy flirting with The Doctor right in front of Rory AT THEIR WEDDING… it’s not funny.

Let’s not have Moffat be the sole arbiter of random enforced romantic awkwardness. We all remember Adam and that awful flirting in the basement in Dalek.

Banter. Quippiness. Shoving it in my face that you’re clever.

I dislike a lot of british humor and sci fi written by sci fi fans (if that makes any sense to anyone who’s not me) for this reason. Don’t rub it in that you’re clever, just be clever!!!

Also, 11’s theme. Every time I Am The Doctor played I wanted to mute the episode. Horrible track. Hate it. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I can’t really explain this as I’m half a cup of coffee in right now, but that track sonically explains everything wrong with the 11th Doctor’s tenure.

That is the first time I’ve heard of anyone disliking that theme.
It’s the sound I have on my alarm that gets me up in the morning

I am aware that I’m in the minority here : P I think if I was being interrogated, they’d make me listen to it to try to pry out the information from me. Glad someone likes it, lol

Literally one of my favourite music tracks ever in Who!

Amazing! Does it make you feel like every morning is a Doctor Who adventure?

Count me in as someone who thinks it’s the greatest Who track ever.

Although I wouldn’t go as far as making it my alarm. I tend to end up really despising any music that I set as my alarm!

At the very least it makes me very happy every morning

Also when I get notifications on my phone it’s the sound of a TARDIS materialising :tardis:

And the Segun Akinola Doctor Who theme when someone calls
I want to set another ringtone for my wife but can’t quite find the right tune :slightly_smiling_face:

If you want to cry every time she rings:

Nah. I actually like my wife, so no crying thank you

Maybe something a bit more upbeat :slightly_smiling_face:
