What's Made or Not Made Your Day?

Grammatically, that sentence isn’t my best work!

I didn’t even realise that that is one long sentence until you pointed it out! I had to go back and check that we didn’t miss a hidden full stop somewhere :joy:

Made my day?

I get to visit my wife’s work to eat my first Julbord (Christmas buffet) this year!

“I should like a hat like that!”:grin::grin:

No fezzes around so I had to make do with the next best thing

Not a great start today. Tried to log in here on my computer because it’s easier to type longer posts, and couldn’t get my password right. I’m stuck to the already logged in phone for 4 hours.

Do I get the same number of attempts after that, or is it one shot for a longer lockout if I’m wrong and I should just cut my losses and do forgot password?

Great hat, love it! How do you keep it from falling tho?

Personally, I would simply do forgot password, but I don’t know how Shauny’s made it work.

Because it isn’t a hat  it’s a hatiara!

Any pickled herring?

Would it even be considered a Julbord without pickled herring?

Or snaps @MrColdStream ?

No Julebord without Snaps! :sunglasses:

Of course! Two different varieties!

I agree, but this was a Julebord for primarily children, so it would have been in bad taste to serve snaps :joy: I don’t know about Denmark, but here in Finland, that would be a step too far :joy:

I was 11 when I tasted it for the first time (just a sip)

I was 18 before I tried it again

Maybe we should have given the 10-year-olds a sip then, to teach them to stay away until they are of age  there would’ve been more for us adults then!

It would be too far these days.
There has been a culture of massive, and early, drinking in Denmark, but there have been steps taken to prevent some of it.

But there isn’t a specific age when you can start drinking, but naturally child services get involved if there is an issue.

I was probably 15 the first time I went to a birthday party for a mate and we were served beer.
There’s an age limit to when you can buy alcohol. When you turn 16 you can buy beer and similar stuff, when you turn 18 anything goes

Sorry just seen this.

You’ll get the same number of attempts again, I believe.

I recommend a Password Manager and use a random password that is impossible to memorise. I use Apple Passwords but there are many others too!

That’s lower than what we have! 18 for beer, wine and the like and 20 for spirits, liquor and other beverages with higher amounts of alcohol. You can enter bars at 18, but some nightclubs have an age restriction of 20 or even 25 (or 40+ as is the case of one nightclub here in my city, it’s designed for senior partygoers!).

And of course, there’s technically no law that forbids children from drinking alcohol, only a law that forbids them from buying and/or being in possession of alcohol. But we also turn to child services and other officials in cases where children might come into contact with alcohol too early and too regularly.
