Wooo, I like your style! That jacket makes me think of Ace!
Wicked!
(No, not the movie, I’ve yet to watch it).
Speaking of social deduction games I’ve played Mafia and Secret Hitler, both loads of fun. Love a good deduction game. We used to play a lot of Mafia with my old scout group during our meetings.
And Traitors, the TV show, is a variant of this as well (at least the Swedish and Finnish versions, I haven’t watched the UK one).
I’m not a huge fan of the gameplay of that Galactica game, but I love how it’s set up so you may not even know you’re a Cylon till halfway through. Really captures that aspect of the series.
New professor elemental album ApeQuest 2 just released on Spotify
I’m almost finished listening to it, it’s such a fun album.
There’s lots of doctor who references in it by the way ;]
It looks like I won’t get to see Wicked Part 1 until the 30th December, because my brother is doing a ton of overtime due to his workplace being understaffed. It sucks, but if the hype surrounding the film from critics and audiences is anything to go by, I’m certain it will be worth the wait.
See the positive side of that: you get to finish off the year with what is possibly one of the best movies of the year! And if not the best, at least one of the most spectacular!
A little life/wedding update: T-Minus 9 days to wedding. I finally worked up the courage to tell my mom it was happening last night and it could have gone better but it also could have gone significantly worse. And she’s coming to the wedding so at least there will be family on both sides coming since his father and sister will be there too.
The harder conversation is going to be that, for the time being, my fiancé and my father are not going to have any sort of relationship due to his vote. And that includes him not being invited to the wedding. And that hurts. But we can not have someone that we know voted to put us in this situation to begin with there and that is, very sadly, non-negotiable for my fiancé. My only hope is that it is some sort of wakeup call for my father because he was and still can be a wonderful man but the alt-right rhetoric got him and he’s not letting it go.
One of my class - a girl who has huge issues around reading and writing so for whom school is a challenge - came in today to share the news that she has been awarded a Hero award and National Star award from the Girl Guides for helping her mum and aunt during a medical emergency at a theme park where she was able to go and get help from adults when her aunt collapsed.
Well, I’ve been reading William Faulkner recently, so I’m not sure it really is that long, comparatively speaking. If you want to impress your friend, send this:
