7:30 PM at the end of the first day for the new Labour government. Nothing has changed yet. Waste of an election. /jk
The greatest change is that Keir Starmer is bringing a German Shepherd to 10 Downing Street to keep Larry The Cat company: Keir Starmer plans to 'move a dog' into No 10
This.
Absolutely this.
Tbh, there were only two parties worth voting for in this election - LibDems and Green - and the former had a much higher chance of getting in.
Sincerely hope Davey is still in charge come the next election, because I’d love to see them in charge.
I think Nick Clegg didn’t help the Lib Dems’ reputation, because during his coalition with the Tories, he came across as very wishy washy.
Was a bit of an awkward position given the hung parliament situation, but I do trust Labour more overall. I just wish Labour were being more left leaning at the moment than they are.
@deltaandthebannermen wheneve he’s away and the Scandinavians hijack this thread “Oh no! Scandinavian shenanigans again!”
Me when I’m away and the Brits hijack this thread: “Oh no! British political shenanigans, where are my Scandinavian friends hiding?”
Hejja Skandinavien!!!
The weather has not made my day. Constant rain under this new government lol
This week, I conducted a 3-day internal training at my company. I designed and mostly facilitated the training myself. It was a personal win because I learned a great deal about instructional design during the process. I’ve long valued teaching, but my recent experience has deepened my appreciation. Hat tipp to all the teaching professionals reading this.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants was encouraging. All expressed interest in recommending the training to their colleagues, and some even suggested that it should be mandatory. Seems I did something right.
England are through to the semis!
Only problem is we have to go through this stress again on Wednesday, and I won’t even be in the country at the time.
Went to a fair today with friends which was a lot of fun
Unfortunately one of the rides had me strongly pressed against a metal bar so now I have a potentially bruised rib
We went to the History Museum today. It was an interesting time. They had an interesting timeline of the last 1000 years of Sweden’s history. They also had a Viking exhibition that was interesting. My oldest daughter and I got to try to bake a flatbread like the Vikings did and that was also fun.
My laptop broke a couple of days ago, getting fixed but it’ll take over a week, and I’m much less comfortable on my phone :C
We visited a small village in the archipelago with my wife and sister-in-law today, about a 75-minute drive from our home. It is a lovely place for food, drinks, and culture. When we returned home a few hours later, we noticed that my wife had forgotten her glasses and their case in the restaurant we visited. We thoroughly searched our entire car and all our bags before contacting the restaurant. Fortunately, they had already picked up the glasses and kept them in store for us. So off I went again, driving the 75 minutes back to the restaurant to pick up the glasses, and then home again. Driving the extra 150 minutes back and forth was frustrating but necessary because my wife, who is nearly blind without her glasses, didn’t have a spare pair and had to wear her sunglasses indoors until I returned. The weather today was nice, and there wasn’t too much traffic on the highway, fortunately, so driving back and forth wasn’t too much of a hassle in the end.
I think the question we are all dying to know is: Which Big Finish stories did you listen to on this roadtrip?
I had a great day playing D&D yesterday. The only sad part is that it means I really have to power through studying for my oral exam next Friday.
Well, now that you mention it, I did actually listen to Big Finish while driving
I wanted to feel fantastic, so I listened to the latest 9DA set, Star-Crossed. Nothing better than to drive down the Finnish highways and listen to Eccleston and Kingston in action!
Just booked London Comic Con Winter, including a photo with Colin Baker
I just had 3 hard, and long, days at work. Now I’m finally home to rest. Went into my kitchen and I have nothing to eat, other than my emergency pot noodles. Pizza it is tonight.
So did you listen to Archipelago · The Ninth Doctor Adventures: Star-Crossed • Episode 3 · TARDIS Guide while in an archipelago?
That’s actually one of the reasons I picked Star-Crossed. I found that final story very befitting of my drive. That and listening to Eccleston and Kingston always make me happy!
