Maybe I should go apply to be an ancient greek or something, since that’s usually roughly how it goes, except that I go back to bed much later on.
Vale Tudo started airing Monday. I was not optimistic, but it’s good so far.
NÃO ME CONVIDARAM
PRA ESSA FESTA POBRE
QUE OS HOMENS ARMARAM PRA ME CONVENCER
Woke up with a horrible migraine so there goes my audio plans for the day (for now anyways).
NOOOOO I FORGOT TO WATCH IT
Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Day!!!
My year group (about 90 children) did their Easter Production at our local church to all their grown ups.
Our headteacher described it as beautiful. They did good.
The full capítulos are available for free in Globoplay for the first week!!!
I contacted Amazon to ask when they will start sending invites to preorder the Nintendo Switch 2 and they told me I am apparently on a priority list, so I will be one of the first to receive an invite.
I think it’s probably because I told them regarding a Doctor Who delivery in the past that I am autistic and get incredibly anxious about deliveries of limited items. They said they didn’t normally deliver weekends unless they put you on a special list, so I think it’s most likely from then. But it’s still hilarious to imagine Amazon workers saying ‘That bloody Sean guy is contacting us again’, ‘Just tell him he’s on a priority list to shut him up!’
You’re very close to becoming a Castellan
I am so glad to hear that! Every time this message pops up for me, I know an Enemy has just arrived
Kinda wish our boss didn’t say bonuses had been decided and will be announced within the next two weeks cause I’m worried I’m getting my hopes up…
Ugh.
On that subject, I had to sign off on my annual review yesterday. Felt the anger I knew would come.
One of my goals was a set number of billable hours. But the way my company operates, the project manager assigns the allocations - that’s supposedly the number of hours you’re committed to working on the project. In reality, it is the number of hours you are committed to entering in your timecards. I can’t get more than a 25% allocation assigned to me even though the workload requires a full day’s effort, often more. I know I’m putting in plenty of hours. My boss should be aware too. But the project manager won’t budge because he has to show a specific profitability, so I can only enter 2 hours a day of billable time.
So, I get dinged for that in my review, and I also get dinged for not spending enough of my spare time expanding my skill set.
Either way, I’m screwed because if I actually did only 2 hours of work a day, I’d get hammered for the project’s failure, and if I did 4 times the amount of work I currently do, I’d be working anywhere from 32 to 60 hours a day. That may work on some planets, but not this one.
So, I expect I’ll get less than a full bonus this year, but if the alternative is to kill myself and have no life just to get the rest of the bonus…no way it would be worth it. So, I’ve made my peace with knowing I’ll get dinged. But it still burns me up when I have to sign off on it.
I was worried that I was having a bit of DW burnout, but today I have watched 3 full serials, and I am working on my fourth.
I think I just needed a month break.
I was genuinely worried that it would last longer. I enjoy the chatter on this forum, even if I don’t interact much. The less I consume, the less I would be on here.
A sigh of relief to still liking Doctor Who.
Wow, that’s too good to be true!
I think my science teacher should officially win the award for most tedious and time-consuming busy work of all time on this Friday afternoon. On a positive note, I got a strawberry lemonade today at a local cafe, which was excellent.
Technically, it was yesterday but I had the opportunity to see Cabaret on Broadway last night. It was a great show, Orville Peck did a great job as the Emcee and Eva Noblezada was fantastic as Sally Bowles. It looked great design-wise and it was thematically very relevant. Only downside was the fact that I got home very late lol.
Rewatched Boom yesterday, still love it!
Today is the time for 73 Yards.
Did that make your day?
Oh.
Wrong thread.
I shouldn’t post before I’ve had my morning coffee!
But watching DW always makes my day!
