It’s not busy per se, but we get these annoying joy riders who decide to go whizzing up and down the street like they’re practicing for Formula 1.

Oh I loathe those people. My old neighbours lived next door to us for, well, all my life!! But as their son got older, he went from quiet as a mouse to working on his car morning noon and night. He’d sit in the parking bay and just rev it, and have his mates round with theirs. Made us move house!

My cat has a problem with her left eye from when she was knocked down and we constantly worry that she gets hit by one of those cars. We tried keeping her in a catery (we would have her in the house but whenever we tried her or the cat we lost inside, they would just run straight behind the sofa and never come out for some reason), but she found the lack of freedom frustrating/stressful and it caused her to over groom herself, so we had to let her out and get rid of the catery.

My parents discovered what has happened with my oldest dog. Turns out he has gone fully blind in both eyes. The poor dog doesn’t know what to do with himself. He’s spent the entire time just lying in the kitchen apparently, and they managed to get him outside for a wee and a poo, but he was struggling to find his way around.
Going blind must be so scary for dogs. At least with a human being we know what blindness is. To a dog they will just see it as suddenly losing vision for no apparent reason.

It’s a shame we can’t get them seeing-eye people.
As to scary…I dunno. Surely knowing what it is doesn’t make it not scary for people. But whether knowing makes it more scary or less scary, I can’t even guess.

That’s a fair point. I was thinking at least with us human beings, we know what’s happening if we go blind, but sometimes knowing as you say can have the opposite effect.
