Celebrate it with a pickled herring tour around Scandinavia!
We promise to buy him beers and a different flavour of pickled herring at every stop he makes!
I did it but only got some congratulations. It was like you guys had something else that day. At least the BBC gave me a present when they aired Joy To The World!
Another shocker - I don’t like beer.
(But to be clear, I don’t drink alcohol at all. No big reason - just don’t like it).
Well, you can have free soda. Or clean Scandinavian water. Or air from our lungs!
The big question is, what do you like when it comes to food and drinks?
Feels like a much shorter list.
I rarely see it called soda, but I think its interesting how many different names in English there are for fizzy drinks like… More across the UK as I think other English speaking countries just use Soda afaik. I constantly bicker with partner because he doesn’t see the logic behind me calling it juice, which, I agree there is no logic, but its how we do it in Scotland
There’s lots I like obviously.
You call soda “juice?” Well that makes no sense! Juice is the fruity drink, soda is a fizzy drink - two very different beverages. But I guess I learned something new today
The fact that he gives no examples says a lot about “lots”…
You call juice “soda” !
I really don’t know why or where it originates from, I think some people from the West of Scotland call it ginger?? not a clue… It’s not soda in the rest of the UK though afaik that’s a more American thing.
It’s one of these words my partner learned the American version and I’m like no its juice!! He always says something like “But nothing got juiced” and I just say there’s a coke tree somewhere.
We don’t call it juice over here!
You will be online all day here with us!

What do you call it and where
I’d call it soda, and pretty much some sections of the united states call it soda and others call it pop.
The only reasonable thing to do is to call it Läsk.
Or if you want to be a sophisticated Swedish-speaking Finn, you could call it “limu”
It surprises me that you like chilli. Based on everything I know about you, I would have guessed that you did not like spicy stuff.
