I never linked those two but now you say it…
He gets plenty of praise from me. Happy to champion what he did as showrunner. And, hopefully I’ve made clear that this is literally my only real issue with the season 12 finale (which I generally love) - and even then, it’s really not that big a deal for me.
Which is very much why I’m here (and, I’m certain, many of the rest of us are too).
I don’t know if this counts per se, but the TV movie. At least as long as I’ve heard people discuss it it usually falls into the “bad story” category and while I agree it’s not great, it’s still a 5 star adventure for me because I think it’s really fun. Warts and all.
I guess if we’re talking TV episodes I really like “Love and Monsters” I also think it’s a fun episode. It doesn’t bother me that much.
Rings of Ahkaten fan here as well!
Fear Her they will never make me hate you
I also have a soft spot for Curse of the Black Spot and Night Terrors, which based on the ratings here are pretty unpopular. Definitely my most-rewatched 11 episodes…
I don’t know if this is a widely held “bad story” but i quite like The Twilight Kingdom, i didnt find it boring at all
I like them too, they’re no favourites of mine but I think they’re quite underrated.
Series 7A is largely underrated, I think.
Series 7 in general is underrated. I can see why most people don’t like it but it has some great episodes
Timelash I think is underrated
I think Love and Monsters is actually pretty good
I did enjoy Reality War
I loved the invisible enemy so much last time I saw it. So much ridiculous fun AND it introduced K9.
On nuwho side, just finished rewatching S6 and Night Terrors was my fave there, and my favourite 11th doctor story in general so far.
Both episodes I mentioned hit on a certain wonky surreal vibe that super appeals to me.
Welcome to the forum @fluffmoss. Do pop over to Introductions to tell us a bit about yourself.
My favourite “bad” episode is easily The Time Monster
That episode is fun and you’re all cowards.
I’m really enjoying The Mutants, i don’t understand the hate for it
Some great Doctor/Master moments there and Doctor/Jo moments…
100%, it’s hilarious. And I love that scene with the Doctor telling Jo about his childhood, it’s just so unexpectedly tender!
I will never understand the hate for “Kerblam!”
That’s easily in my top 5 Jodie episodes
