Chase is great fun but like I’ve said repeatedly not a fan of the parts on Mechanus compared to the preceding comedic chase vignettes
Carnival I always enjoyed thought it was clever story and the twists are great and keep coming for now I think this is what I’m picking
Robots is a classic episode Leela shines in it and a great murder mystery
Good man I always enjoyed between rorys badassery but just the utter hubris everyone but especially the Doctor has and the twist is gut wrenching
Awakening I always enjoyed even though it does a lack a little but not enough to warrant consideration. same with the dalek 2 parter j do think it’s clever but not as good as the above.
Woman who lived despite some great lines is not as good as it tries to be but it does show what’s wrong with humans having immortality. Wish War if it wasn’t for the last 30 minutes or so may be a tier above or the consideration tier but the hasty ending does kill any momentum

The Mind Robber was an easy choice - adore that story.
Went with the classic The Robots of Death for my second but could have chosen the bonkers Carnival of Monsters or The Awakening (just because of Will Chandler).

The Mind Robber is brill, so that’s an easy one. I like The Awakening as well, so I’ll throw that a vote.
I will be incredibly disappointed if Wish World/The Reality War doesn’t join that list

The Mind Robber and The Robots of Death - two of my favourite stories! But I do like The Chase, Carnival of Monsters, and The Awakening. There are some good stories here…

Had to go with The Chase (which I had so much fun with, when I watched it recently) and The Robots of Death, because it’s also incredible fun (and ultimately gave us Liv Chenka.) plus a 4 and Leela adventure will win most of these, for me.

Looking at these options “sixteen” has got to be a cursed number or something for this show, which doesn’t bode well for Christmas if so.
A lot of these stories I’d rank on the lower end for their respective Doctors and find middling on the whole. I voted for Praxeus (one of the best of series 12) and The Chase, but with all the earnest love in the world for the latter it really is a bit of a mess.
The only other real contender for me is Carnival of Monsters, but I can’t help but feel I’m giving it too much of a pass because of my soft spot for the Drashigs, while The Mind Robber and Robots of Death I’ve found to be on the duller side on previous watches.
The Awakening is a story I really rather enjoy, but ultimately consider to be lacking in substance. This is similarly the case for A Good Man Goes to War, the Doctor rounding up a bunch of aliens to fight for him and running circles around a military trained specifically to kill him has amazing spectacle to it when you’re a kid but it feels lacking.
As for the remaining three? Dire, dire and utterly abysmal in that order. Looking at all the options I feel like Troughton at the end of The War Games, going “Is this the best you can do? I’ve never seen such an incredible bunch!”

Interesting. I’d probably say I like this set of episodes more than 15th, and yet, 16th has the lower average ranking, at around 197. Maybe it’s a case of some high highs and low lows.
Manhattan/Evolution < Chase < Praxeus < Wish/Reality (Wish with some heavy lifting) < Lived < Awakening < Monsters < Robber < Good < Robots

The Robots of Death & Carnival of Monsters got my vote. But I feel sad for The Awakening (an underrated one!) which nearly got my vote.

Second one is a little more difficult, but i went with a good man goes to war because I do like it lots

I’ve stopped making predictions of ones hitting nul point - so many others I thought would’ve gotten that and at least 1 proves me wrong but at the moment it looks like woman who lived will end up 0 EDIT

All the ones here that I have seen, I like. Well, except The Woman Who Lived.
So it was difficult to choose but I ultimately went with The Mind Robber and Carnival of Monsters. A Good Man Goes to War was one I was considering too.
The Chase is alright and while I really like the S3 Dalek two-parter, it is very flawed. The Robots of Death is strong but not quite top tier for me.
The Awakening, Praxeus and the S15 finale are stories I have not seen yet.

I fw RTD’s writing style, and that’s the key really. He can make an otherwise meh episode a joy to watch. Can I acknowledge that the dialogue is clunky and that the ending is misguided? Yes. Could it have been better? Yes. But then I think back to when I watched it in theatre and I remember just having the biggest grin on my face.
The main cast put in a great performance, I actually like the idea of SkeleOmega (hot take I know - him being distorted by the legends that have been woven about him into a half-dead monstrous husk is a concept I really enjoy), 15 sacrifices himself in a way thats very doctorish (ending his own life just to save one small insignificant one that never really existed), and all in all its just fun.
I feel like once time passes, RTD2 is over and we’re past the weird purgatory the show is stuck in atm, people might start to think of it with a lot more good faith - less as the messy, confusing episode that nearly killed the show that a lot of people perceive it as and acknowledge more of its good side.
